*SALE HUNT* Saks Consolidation Sale

The Saks Fifth Avenue Consolidation Sale will begin on July 19th. Prices on designer goods will be slashed by 70%. If you want to attend, just go to the flagship department store in a little over two weeks and you'll find the whole 9th floor filled with racks of sartorial goodies.

But here's where things get interesting. My MizAdvice is to skip the Consolidation Sale entirely and instead drop by this Fourth of July weekend. Starting tomorrow (7/3) until July 7th, Saks will offer shoppers the exact same 70% off on designer merchandise. You read that right. The EXACT SAME discount. The kicker is that you'll get to shop from a wider selection of RTW and accessories. The only minor downside is that the sale items won't be "consolidated" on the 9th floor. Instead, you'll need to hunt around each floor to find what you want. For sale veterans, this will be a cake walk. Happy shopping!

  1. Thanks for the helpful sales info. I was wondering if the discount increases as the sale goes on, or if it stays the same the entire time, even in the last few days? When does the sale end?

    1. Hi Vincent,

The sale ends on August 18th. There are additional markdowns but the discount is minimal to say the least. It's better to get there earlier and shop the wider selection than wait for the small extra discount. By the way, this is for women's only. The men's Consolidation Sale happened earlier this month.

  2. MAN, I found about this today, when do you think is the best time to go? Do you think the prices will get cheaper in a week or two? Or is it better to go as soon as possible?

    1. Prices on a small selection of RTW will receive further markdowns later on. But, as I mentioned in one of the comments in my review (click here to read it), it's better to go now rather than later. The extra discount isn't really worth the wait. It's much better to shop the wider selection.

    1. The sale is still on. Not sure if it's worth the trip though. I would saving that money and wait for the upcoming sample sales. Alexander Wang is next week. Plus fall sample sales start in September--which is just a month away.
