*SAMPLE SALE* Mercier Beaucoup

Renowned cosmetic label Laura Mercier, with its high-quality & natural-looking makeup products, hosted its first-ever sample sale today. I happened to be in the market for some beauty basics so I decided to stop by. I guess I wasn't the only one in need of cosmetics because the sale was PACKED with beauty bargainistas.

When I first arrived at Clothingline at 10:30am, there were around 50 ladies waiting in front of the building. After 45 minutes of waiting, I was in. The Laura Mercier sale counter was located all the way at the back of the venue and it was jam-packed with first come, first serve shoppers. The counters were so crammed with Mercier fans, it was almost impossible to take a peek at the merchandise. But after waiting patiently for some time, I finally found a gap where I could slide in.

Here's what was available. Nail polishes were available in colors like Bare Espresso, Bare Haze, Bare Rose, En Pointe, Nude Silk, Bare Angel, and Moderne Red. Nail lacquers were $8 each.

Lip glosses were available in colors like Plum Noir, Desert Rose, and Pout. Lip glosses were $12 each.

Laura Mercier's best-selling tinted moisturizers in tube weren't available but the brand's Moisture Suprême foundations were up for grabs in 8 different shades. These foundations were $20 each. Tinted Moisturizer Crème in compact variety was also priced at $20 and they were available in almost all shades.

Lipsticks were available in various colors and I spotted Cocoa, Cameo, and Mod Pink. Lipsticks were $12 each.

If you're looking for eye shadows, Laura Mercier's Caviar stick eye colors were available in colors like Orchid, Grey Pearl, Smoke, and Rose Gold. They were $12 each.

Other products include a Body Bronzing Makeup, a Crème Brûlée Signature candle, an eye gel, a cream moisturizer, brow pencils, and mascaras. As always, the full price list can be found at the end of this article.

If you're looking to stock up on your beauty needs or get a jump start on holiday gifts, this week's Laura Mercier sample sale was truly worth going to. The prices were amazing and every item was boxed and completely new. FYI, the sale ends this Thursday.

Price list:
Nail lacquer $8
Body bronzing make up $9
Baked eye, Caviar eye stick, Brow pencils, Tightline, Kohl eye pencil, Mascara $10
Creme smooth lip, Illuminating eye color, Lip glace $12
Moisture supreme foundation, tinted moisturizer compact, creme brulee candle $20
Tone perfecting duet $45

  1. Thanks so much for the report. Very helpful as always. The prices are great, but the product selection is not the best. I wonder in usual Clothingline manner, whether they will reduce prices on the last day... Do they have lots of stock in everything?

  3. Are there any body moisturizers available or just the scented candles?

    2. I would have loved to see some body moisturizers or hand creams. I did stock up on the caviar stick eye colors though. I just finished typing up my report. I agree that the shade selection wasn't great for a lot of the products but the discount was fantastic. Also, the sale was very quiet when I went later in the day. Thanks for braving the craziness, though.

  4. I was looking forward to it. Went there during lunch time and it was crazy. After a long line outside AND inside, I left empty handed. Gilt has held sample sales for Laura Mercier that were also 50% off that had better selection...and besides, there were scores of sample sale bloggers that were skipping the line, taking snobby pictures of people while they were waiting in line. Miz, I hope you don't act like these snobby bloggers do.

  5. From what I gather Miz is different from the rest. I read many sale blogs and she's always on top of things and honest in her reporting. If you are reading this Miz thank you for all your hard work.

    1. Except for the eye cream/moisturizer set, they still have a lot of everything. If you buy 5 now, you get an additional 25% off.
