*SAMPLE SALE* You Dig, Zadig?

If you're a Balmain girl on a budget, you might want to check out this week's Zadig & Voltaire sample sale. The rebellious French fashion label kicks off their sale event tomorrow and I was invited to preview the offerings earlier this afternoon. The question is, do you dig Zadig?

Today's Zadig & Voltaire sample sale private opening, intended for press & Gilt City ticket holders, was swarming with shoppers. After a quick coat check, I entered the sale and was greeted to a well-stocked showroom. If you're like me, I'm sure many of you are looking for a nice piece of outerwear to keep you warm this winter. Well, you'll be happy to know that there were lots of parkas, fur vests, cashmeres, shearlings, and chunky knits available. In the outerwear section, coats were priced $330, blazers were $190, military jackets were $120, parkas were $280, leather jackets were $300, shearlings were $600, and suede jacket were $400.

There were other wardrobe separates as well. From button-down blouses to distressed T-shirts & sparkly sequins, I found endless rows of racks teeming with RTW. I happened to spend a few minutes in the cashmere section and came across a nice variety of cardigans and sweaters. Prices on cashmeres were a bit high at $190. The denim section was located in the back left side of the venue and was comprised of animal prints, metallics, tie dye prints, whites, and good old blues. Unlike cashmeres, denims were reasonably priced at $50. I also spotted a small selection of shorts and skirts situated near the fitting room. Shorts were $50 while skirts were $60.

Accessories were located on the right side of the space. There were handbags, shoes, scarves, gloves, belts, and hats. Prices on handbags ranged from $35 to $320, while shoes--flats, sandals, and boots--were $110 & $220.

Men's merchandise was also worth browsing. Denims were $60, cashmere cardigans were $220, sweaters were $90~$190, button down shirts were $75, blazers were $220, parkas were $250, and leather jackets were $350.

Since I never included this week's Zadig & Voltaire info in one of the sample sale roundups, here are the full details. The sale officially starts tomorrow and runs through Sunday, October 27th. Doors open at 10am and it is located at 260 Fifth Ave. Per usual, I will keep you updated if prices drop throughout the sale.
