*SAMPLE SALE* DVF Diane von Furstenberg

Look who's back, everyone. It's DVF! Many of you may remember, the brand canceled their winter sample sale last year, shocking and disappointing a whole bunch of New Yorkers (including myself) who were excitedly planning to attend the brand's longstanding tradition of blowout bargain shopathons. Now, I've been informed the company is gearing up for a big return to the sample sale scene at the end of this month. My contact inside DVF confirms that the sale is scheduled to start right after the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. That's only 11 days away! Summer prints, here we come!!

  6. I usually line up early on the first day, but couldn't make it this year. How's it looking? Have they been re-stocking? Anything left?

  7. Today was my fourth dvf sample sale. I believe that today was the first day of reductions. Day dresses were reduced from $100 to $50. However, I was very disappointed with the dress selection this year. I saw no wraps for size 8 and above. There were a few lovely lace dresses, and jersey dresses. There seemed to be a much larger selection for smaller sizes. There were more samples this year than I have ever seen, but most of them were true samples and quite small, or quite damaged. The selection of bags and accessories was the impressive. Large leather bags were reduced to $100, canvas at $35, clutches at $50, and a few pairs of gorgeous leather gloves at $25. It is still worth the trip if you have time to go.
