*SAMPLE SALE* Life Is a Burch

With both Tory Burch & Alexander Wang officially kicking off their sample sales on the same day, you have a serious decision to make on where to go first. So in case you're stressing over which sale you want to brave the long line for, I hope my early Alexander Wang review and this Tory Burch report will help you decide. And now, here's a sneak peek inside this year's Tory Burch winter sample sale. Let the madness begin!

I briefly dropped by the Tory Burch preview early today and browsed through the goods. As always, Tory Burch handbags were the first thing you see when you step inside the sale and I came across multiple rows of totes, hobos, shoppers, satchels, and minis on display on the venue's big white wall. Here, I spotted Adalyn clutches for $195, striped Robinson middy satchels for $250, striped Robinson dome satchels for $295, Kerrington polka-dot totes for $95, striped Robinson totes for $295, Brooke canvas totes for $150, and Clara satchels for $250. For further pricing, you can see close-up shots of the bags below.

Just like previous TB sales, the same ticket system and 7 minute shopping timeframe were in place for people who wanted to shop the selection of shoes. The footwear stock included Caroline ballet flats, Trudy open-toes, Claremont flats, Trudy sling-back wedges, Grace riding boots, and a nice variety of winter booties. As far as prices are concerned, flats were $150, shearling lined boots were $165, wedges were $165, booties were $200, and boots were $250. Quite expensive, in my opinion.

The apparel section, comprised of 20 circular racks plus numerous wall racks, was well stocked with winter and holiday party-perfect styles. Sizes were available from 0-14. Tees & polos were $45, sleeveless tops were $85, cardigans were $95, sweaters were $115, bottoms were $85, dresses were $150, evening gowns & cocktail frocks were $450, blazers were $195, coats were $225, and leathers were $250. Again, I felt the prices were disappointing for a sample sale.

Inventory will be restocked daily and, if my memory serves me right, prices will most likely be slashed as the sale progresses so stay tuned for updates in the comment section below and on Twitter.

  3. Tory Burch has raise up the sample sales price. Not worth to go, and I see lots of people left with empty hand. Cloths are still cheaper if you compare with online sales but not the shoes. I found a pair of flat is now $165 when online is $157. I will wait until the last day to see if they will drop the price.

  10. I went to today's sale and it wa sexactly like last year's. Maybe fewer bags. Even the stock of shoes was low. I bought a poppy - coral bag for 95 USD, All crossbody bags were 95 and all the leather handbags wer 250-295 but really boring. The clothing selection was great but not cheap. Tees were 45 and sweaters 115. Jackest 195. I picked up some tees too, but the Kurtas and long tunics were what took up the most space.
