*DESIGNER COLLAB* Hermès x Apple Watch

At yesterday's Apple event, the tech company introduced their latest batch of cutting-edge products. One of their announcements involved a surprise partnership with Hermès. The Apple Watch Hermès Collection will offer shoppers hip to haute fashion and high tech three different styles of leather bands: Double Tour, Single Tour, and Cuff. The watch straps will be available in several colors and the collaboration watches will come pre-installed with Hermès-branded watch faces. Think of them as Hermès Cape Cods gone digital. These special edition smartwatches will debut on October 5th at select Apple stores and Hermès boutiques. Prices will range from $1,100 to $1,500. The timepieces will also be packaged inside the French brand's iconic orange boxes which I think is pretty cool. With Apple also introducing the iPhone 6S in rose gold, the company is poised to attract more female shoppers than ever this year. So what do you all think, ladies and gents?

  1. I absolutely love it -- right up to the point where the watch itself is no longer supported by Apple. Unless there's a way to upgrade the timepiece as new versions of the Apple Watch get introduced, this nifty collab will just end up a nifty bracelet.

  2. I like bands over the ones Apple sells but can't see spending 1K+ on tech that will be obsolete in a few years. Call me traditional but a watch should be mechanical.
