*SAMPLE SALE* Club Monaco

The Club Monaco sample sale is set to return for the fall sample sale season. But before you get too excited and mark this event on your calendar, it seems there is a minor change to the brand's upcoming sale. Instead of keeping their usual five day long schedule, Club Monaco will run their October sale for only three days this year. I'm not sure if this means there will be a low quantity of goods but, for now, let's hope for the best. Aside from this departure in scheduling, the sale is still advertised to have overstock and sample womenswear, menswear, and accessories. As we wait for the first week of October to come around, get a sense of the pricing by reading the full Mizhattan report from their sale in February.

Where: 261 W. 36th St. (bet. 7th & 8th Ave.), 2nd Floor

When: Monday, October 5th through Friday, October 9th. 11am~8pm

  1. I really enjoy the club Monaco sample sale from their office since the prices are more in line with true sample sales. Once I see Clothingline as the host for the sample sales, it doesn't seem to be worth the hassle of impolite employees even if, and when, the prices become dirt cheap. Usually Clothingline prices are still on the higher end, or cheap but comes mostly damaged. Would love to hear from others if that has changed.

    1. Never shopped the Club Monaco sample sale directly from their office. Good to know there is one. I stopped shopping at Clothingline all together. It's not worth being treated badly when you are the one spending the money. Their employees and management need a whole revamp on customer service.

    2. This particular sale was highly disappointed. Dated and tattered clothing, unorganized and the prices during the first couple of days were outrageous. You'd be better off at a holiday sale in store. As for the employees, never interacted with them. And let's face it. It's a room full of clothing racks. The individuals working there don't get trained on customer service.

  2. The old CM sales at Starrett Lehigh were really really really good. I loved digging through the boxes and tables and stuffing whatever I saw into the brown paper bags. Dirt cheap prices and I usually came out spending $100 for 20-30 items. I agree with you that Clothingline isn't as good but whenever a sale moves to a 3rd party locale you have to expect markups. I guess it is the cost of doing business.

  3. The last Club Monaco sample sale that was hosted by Clothing line had really high prices. Anyone know if it will be the same this time?

  10. I went today, waste of time. Prices are the same as last update provided. They don't have fitting rooms and you can't try on thing over your clothes. And of course no returns. I saw people leaving because they couldn't try on. So there's still a lot of merchandise left.

  11. I've gone to this sale several times and this has to be the worst inventory yet! The prices are higher than usual and the quality of the garments are in poor condition. If they slash prices in half tomorrow, it would be worth taking a spin you might find a gem. Otherwise skip it.
