*SAMPLE SALE* If the Choo Fits...

Wear it. And if you happen to love bargains then this week's 2-day long Jimmy Choo sample sale is where you buy it. The British brand's bi-annual shopping event went underway this morning for VIPs and F&F and the sale had in store the label's glamorous footwear at prices starting at $200. Follow me and I'll tell you what I found.

There were 60+ shoppers in queue by the time the sale opened its doors. After checking in with an employee, I took the stairs up to Jimmy Choo heaven on the fourth floor of the Metropolitan Pavilion. Inside the venue, women's shoes, handbags, small leather goods, men's shoes, and other accessories were strewn on and under numerous tables. Excluding SLGs, markdowns were exactly the same as their last sale in May with prices ranging from $200 to $475 (see price list) for ladies shoes. Sizes were available from 34 to 43 and the selection included sandals, flats, pumps, sneakers, evening heels, and much more. Although I spotted a sorely lacking availability of boots at the sale, Jimmy Choo's Hunter boots from 2009 made their way back to the sale again.

The men's merchandise seemed less stocked compared to previous events. With sizes ranging from 39 to 46, I found slip-on sneakers, moccasins, suede booties, smoking slippers, oxfords, high top sneakers, driving shoes, and leather loafers. Again, prices for men's footwear also stayed in line with their last sale. Boots were priced $375 while non-boots were priced $250.

Moving onto accessories, handbags such as Riley totes, Alba shoulder bags, Sweetie clutches, Chandra clutches, Zoe hobos, star studded Sasha totes, and Cassidy totes were placed on top of several tables. Evening bags were $350 while daytime leather styles were $250~$450. Exotic bags could be purchased for an extra $200 each. In addition to bags, there were three tables of leather accessories available for discount seekers. SLGs (wallets, iPhone sleeves, iPad cases, card cases, and leather cup sleeves) were $100. This is an increase of $25 compared to the May sale. Scarves were $75 and belts were $50.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, like any Jimmy Choo sample sale, some of the shoes, bags, and accessories showed definite signs of wear and tear. Therefore, I strongly advise that you do a once-over of the merchandise before making a purchase. I was also informed by the staff this morning that the public portion will likely start later this afternoon and continue until tomorrow, so yay to that. I will make sure to keep everyone posted on any developing news like further markdowns, so stay tuned.

  7. hi Miz - any biker boots available when you went? thank your for your wonderful reviews, as always.

  8. There were biker boots in tall and some short in weird colors. Standard black will only be in size 35 or 41. Sometimes they miraculously find more, but finding a black biker will be hard

  9. Any update on how long the line is?

  10. Went at 10 am this morning, and there was no line. Breezed right in. But the merchandise is severely depleted—there were no boots and no scarves, and it was slim pickings for the larger bags and the small leather goods. Lots of evening bags left, but they're still $350 and up.

  12. I got to the sale around 1030, no line. Very slim pickings for anything above a 37. I did manage to grab a pair of suede floral boots and strappy heels in like new condition. Bags were limited and not much left :/

  17. I bought a few pairs, and once I returned home, realized that one was a mismatch on sizing (even though they were zip tied together). I wonder if there is anything I can do!
