*SAMPLE SALE* PA Announcement

British-born, New York City-based footwear designer Paul Andrew mastered his skillful craft at high profile fashion houses like Alexander McQueen and Calvin Klein before launching his namesake label in 2013. His collection of modern and super sleek shoes are the favorites of fashion insiders and his sample sales rank very high in my book. Today, the brand hosted yet another fantastic bargain affair for his devotees and shoeaholics alike, and I was there to soak in all the excitement. So, gather around my fellow Mizhattanites because I'm about to make an important PA announcement. Mic check...one, two, three!

This week's 2-day long Paul Andrew sample sale is located near Central Park South at the luxury cobbler's showroom. The sale got underway ahead of schedule at around 10:30am. As soon as the doors opened, I did a quick glance around the space and noticed right away that, just like their last sale, the offerings were limited to only three sizes (37, 39, and 40). At opening time, I found approximately 170 pairs of shoes in size 37, 25 pairs in size 39, and 90 pairs in size 40. The plentiful size 37 selection included espadrilles, slingback pumps, peep-toe sandals, knee-high boots, lace-up booties, ankle-strap sandals, gladiator sandals, rounded-toe pumps, and Paul Andrew's signature Zenadia pumps and Zoya flats. For size 39 and 40, styles were limited to knee-high boots, feather-embellished pumps, wedge sandals, and peep-toe booties.

As far as markdowns go, it was nice to see prices slashed even lower than at previous sales. For February 2016, PA footwear started at $50 and went up to $200. Basic pumps, sandals, and flats were $50 & $75 while evening styles and booties were $125. In addition, exotic skins like Zoya flats in python were the most expensive at $200. Each pair was marked with a color sticker that corresponds to a price.

As you can see, today's Paul Andrew sample sale was another kickass event but mostly for those who made it early. I'm currently hearing word that inventory is running out in a blink of an eye and, unfortunately, there will not be restocking. Nonetheless, if you do decide to go, keep in mind there were some items with minute damage and/or signs of wear. Although, when you think about it, the markdowns make it more than fair.

  5. Love the ingenious title...PA announcement! Thanks for the pictures. I was there around noon and the sale was definitely much more crowded than last time. At this time, I wouldn't recommend going tomorrow as the stock was very low when I left.
