*SAMPLE SALE* Manolo Blahnik

It's here, ladies! The legendary Manolo Blahnik sample sale returns. A fellow Mizhattanite (a BIG shoutout and smooch to Capitol Hill Barbie!) kindly tipped me off to this autumn's shoe spectacular which opens next Tuesday, November 8th, at the Warwick Hotel. As it is one of the city's most celebrated shoe shopping events, the Manolo sale has a reputation for drawing a very large crowd of discount-hungry shoppers, so be prepared for lots of commotion and heaps of bagged stilettos, flats, sandals, booties, boots, and more. As far as markdowns go, you can expect prices comparable to their last sales in April of this year and November of last year (basic heels started at $125). And don't forget, the sale is a cash-only event.

Where: Warwick Hotel, 65 W 54th St. (near 6th Ave.), 2nd Floor

When: Tuesday, November 8th.

UPDATE: Photos from inside: here, here, and here

  4. Hi Miz. What time does it start? I'm thinking to be there 30 mins before it starts, or an hour? Which is best?

    1. Manolo sample sales do not have an official start time when it comes to the public portion. Only after F&F are done shopping, do they let the public in. 30 mins to an hour won't be good enough because people camp out very early.

    2. What time does it start and what time do you think we should be there? Thank you for the info!

    3. I would say 5 or 6 am. You really never ever know how many people are going to be there so to be on the safe side, come early.

  6. I work right near the Warwick. Trump headquarters for the election is across the street at the Hilton on 54th/6th Ave. The area is crazy and will only get crazier as the day goes on! I'd avoid the sale this time around.

  14. Will they stop the Chinese resellers? Saw a mid age man brought out 5 or 6 bags full of shoes walked out and his "employees" were counting and taking pics of their trophies from their 7-8 bags.

  19. I was able to stop by and WISHED I did my normal time of coming by EARLY in the morning. I saw a few things but nothing I really wanted. A few BB's but not in solid colors so I passed. Proud of myself! All the goodies were gone or in the hands of women. A women I asked twice if she was taking a pair of flats and said "Ye" but never picked them up. I didn't want drama today so I did not push it. They were giving folks a time limit on getting on the line which was good. When I left they were on #8. The area is MADNESS so maybe that is why there were not a lot of people at the sale. The Candidates are in the area so lots of cameras and reporters.

  20. Half an hour ago I got out of the group #8 that was allowed to be inside for 45 minutes before the cleanup (no restocking). Choice for 38 and 38.5 was almost non-existent, but plenty for 40+. Taking photos is forbidden and they will ask you to leave if you do so. Prices start at $125+tax.

    1. Hmmmm. I stuck to the 37 and 37.5 but at this time, it would be 50/50.

  23. Anyone knows what number they are up to?

  24. I just came from there and they were on number 18? I think? maybe 17. If you are a 37, 39 and up you have selection but if you're 37.5-38.5 there are probably about 35 pairs left (unless hoarders put some back)I used to be a 37 and that was wonderful but for some reason now I am a 37.5 and selection always gets tough. I still managed to get two awesome pairs! Thanks Miz for all the updates! -Polina
