Un Semainier

Here is a stunning pictorial from Carine Roitfeld's new magazine CR Fashion Book. The story is titled 1 Girl, 7 Bracelets, 7 Days. In it, Carine recollects her grandmother giving her one bracelet a year until she had seven of them. It is a Russian tradition to wear one each day of the week until you have all seven on. She explains that in French, it is called un semainier. To illustrate her story, Carine uses David Yurman's classic cable bracelets in the magazine spread. Now I have a good reason to start collecting them.
