Today marks the biggest celebration on the calendar for many Asian countries: the Lunar New Year. According to market research, 55% of global luxury purchases are now made by Asian shoppers. For this reason, high-end brands annually market and promote special Lunar New Year products in hopes of cashing in on Asia's biggest shopping season. This year, the Year of the Horse, Ralph Lauren created an exclusive red/gold Soft Ricky bag to celebrate the occasion while embracing their equestrian heritage. Longchamp's Le Pliage tote also received a special once-over with a gold horse motif. In addition, Burberry, DVF, Carolina Herrera, and Ferragamo joined in on the festivities with items in lucky red.
