The staff at Adam Lippes' 3-day long sample sale warmly welcomed shoppers when the doors opened this morning. Thanks to a friendly greeting and a quick tour of the offerings given by employee, I felt right at home even though this was my first time ever checking out the brand's sample sale.
The sample racks, situated on the left side of the room, were the first thing I spotted when entering the space. There were five racks in total, and regardless of design, every single piece was priced at $100.
As for overstock production pieces, they were lined up against the wall on the right side, and consisted of six racks plus one table of knitwear (sizes ranging from 0 to 8). While rummaging through, I found many items from the designer's Fall '16 line. For example, this embroidered tunic, gold and black georgette top, oversized crewneck sweater, printed wide-leg trousers, tiger-print mini skirt, gray cashmere coat, and ivory flutter hem top are just a few of the items worth mentioning that I spotted amongst the racks. Thankfully, prices were much better than what's found on the label's online store or at retailers like Net-A-Porter. Dresses were $150~$350, pants were $225, skirts were $175, tops were $150, knits were $175 & $275, coats were $550, leather items were $300 & $450, and jumpsuits were $175 & $250.
In terms of accessories, there were a few different styles of Lippes' footwear collection up for grabs. Sandals, flats, and Brenda pumps were $175 while Emma boots were $250.
Adam Lippes' designs epitomize modern classic style, and this week's sample sale offers smart shoppers a wealth of his designs at great prices. Unfortunately, despite the 3-day long run, I am told there will not be any restocking. Therefore, if you want to shop a better selection, I suggest rushing over to the company's showroom now rather than later.
