The $1 sale held by The Outnet, to celebrate their 1st anniversary, kicked off at 6:45 am (3:45 am for West Coasters). Other than the ridiculous start time, a Mizhattan tipster states that the 'website had issues' and when she was finally able to log on at 7:50 am, the marked 'items had all been sold'. This sort of grumbling from eager bargain shoppers is resonating throughout Twitter. Talk of boycotting and not so nice choice words have been thrown around. Yet, to the bellyache of others, some lucky few seemed to have grabbed really sweet deals. So was this a success for Outnet? Or a marketing flop?
