Ladies gathered this morning at 9am for Proenza Schouler's much hyped sample sale. There were a wide selection of women's tops, bottoms, dresses, bags, and accessories from their previous collections as well as from their recent Spring Resort 2010 collection.
Although there were quite a few ladies (20~25 people) waiting in line when I got there at 8:55am, they were all let in when the door opened. As time went by, a steady stream of people kept pouring in, and soon the place was packed. In the middle of the small room, there was a table full of bags (there was no PS1s in sight) and jewelry. Below this table, I found 3 boxes of belts divided into sizes (small, medium, and large).
I was pleasantly surprised to see their pricing on women's wear. Racks and racks of tops, bottoms, dresses, and jackets surrounded the room. Although their famous tie–dye pieces were nowhere to be found, I saw colorful crepe bandage dresses ($125), lots of tissue jerseys ($25), jersey tanks ($25), turtleneck tops ($50), lightweight blouses ($225), silk blouses ($100), and beautiful tweed jackets ($505 and $930). What about pants? You could really score on cotton pants ($20~$40), sequin pants ($50), and silk karate pants were $15 only!!!
