The pop–up store on the 2nd floor of Kiki de Montparnasse had their public opening today. The man behind all the buying and selling, Christos Garkinos, was greeting shoppers with a smile.
I began my designer search in the Chanel section. It was G–O–R–G–E–O–U–S!!! From quilted shoulder bags to jackets & coats (there even was a special rack just for Chanel tweeds!) I couldn't help from ogling over all the items on display. Everything was in top quality. The chocolate brown short strap quilted bag pictured in the photo above was $1,950. A black & white tweed suit was $2,100 and an open knit jacket in black was $995.
Next stop, Prada. An impressive rack full of Prada-wear: floral jacket, sheer blouse, printed sleeveless dress and many many more were hung in style. A beaded straight skirt that stood out was $390 (very reasonably priced, in my opinion). Next to these beauties, a trunk full of Prada shoes, mostly sandals and slingbacks were on display. Other designer pieces that caught my attention: Zac Posen polka dot gray blouse priced $180, Marc Jacobs gray V–neck sweater priced $340, Roland Mouret black strapless dress priced $825. There were a few Lanvins, Balmains, and Oscar de la Rentas, as well.
I know you are dying to know more about the shoes and bags, right? Well, the atmosphere was as if you died and went to shoe heaven. A pair of fabulous Balmain strappy sandals in olive were $895. A very chic pair of Louboutin leopard print pumps were $500. Jimmy Choo lizard sandals in orange were $240. A very elegant John Galliano snakeskin tote bag was only $660.
Almost all of these items were in top top quality. Many of them seemed almost new even. They plan to host a mega shoe sale at noon on Sunday where all shoes will be $150 and under. By the way, if you want a great bargain on clothing, bags, and accessories, decadestwo.1 is offering 20% off the indicated price on all merchandises today. So make sure to drop by the store today or on Sunday.
