I arrived around 9:50am and was surprised to find many mature ladies, late 40s and up, waiting casually in front of the hotel conference room setup as a showroom.
First thing of note, the sale was a bit disorganized and confusing. You're required to receive a ticket from a gentleman who seemed to wander around the floor making it hard for new patrons to know what was going on. When I arrived, I had to push my way through a throng of ladies to get to the ticket distributor who was, at the time, near the showroom door. Then I had to go through the same throng to get to the back of the line.
Other than this bit of confusion, the sale was great and attracted quite the crowd. There was 1–on–1 customer service, which was understandable since this was a "jewelry" sample sale. But because there were less than 10 sales attendants, and each shopper took about 20 minutes to shop, there was a significant wait. I mentally calculated that those who came in just after the 10am opening would be shopping around noon. The waiting shoppers are allowed to enter the room but asked to stay seated till they were called (though I did see a few ladies get up and peruse the displays because the wait was getting tiresome).
Now, about the jewelry. The selection was really vast and I saw gorgeous pendants, tennis bracelets, bangles, cocktail rings, brooches, and earrings. These beauties come in white & yellow gold, silver, mother–of–pearls, and rare gems. You are allowed to try on pierced earrings and other jewelries. In addition, if you do end up getting something, a sales associate will follow you to the register with your purchase on a cushioned plate. By the way, they don't plan on restocking and the sale is 50%~70% off retail. So if you don't mind a long wait, do drop by...just bring something to pass the time.
