Before I begin with the details, I must first mention that there were no new Cartier watches--only a very limited pre-owned selection. So, if you are looking specifically for Cartier, you might want to skip this sale.
Now, on to the details. There was no line when I arrived and I believe that there were less patrons this time around. After the requisite ID check, I stepped into a showroom full of glass showcases. Designer timepieces from Hermes, Chopard, Dior, Breitling, Movado, and more were all 50% off. Tourneau-branded watches were 70% off retail. Though I am not a watch connoisseur, by any stretch of the term, I am a Hermes aficionado. So, naturally, I spent most of my time in front of the Hermes displays. Here is what I found: H Hour PMs in various colors, Kellys in mostly black, and a few Cape Cods. Again, all of these never-worn Hermes watches were 50% off. For pre-owned pieces, I saw some Baume & Mercier, Movado, and Cartier.
Overall, if I had to compare this sample sale to the previous one held last September, I would have to say that there was noticeably less timepieces to pick and choose from. But the jewelry section was pretty impressive unlike the last event. There weren't many recognizable name brand jewelries--mostly from privately owned jewelry companies--apart from Chopard, but their glass displays were gleaming with beautiful Valentine's Day-worthy earrings, necklaces, and bracelets--70% off ticketed price.
