As soon as I heard about the Stuart Weitzman sample sale, I rushed over to their showroom in Midtown. A sea of Weitzman's modern footwear filled the room. Literally, you couldn't walk around the space without knocking over a pair of lovely Weitzman shoes. From evening satin sandals & sequin heels to colorful jellies & ankle booties, they were all sitting elegantly on the carpeted floor. A very few of them had some minor flaws, but most were in great condition. As for pricing, shoes were $75, jellies were $50, and boots & booties were $100. Very well priced in my opinion...but an obvious tease to those who are not size 6.
I was also impressed with the selection and pricing of Stuart Weitzman's bags. To tell you the truth, I've always liked Stuart Weitzman more for their shoes than their handbags. But I found many hobos, totes, shoulder bags, and evening clutches that were both hip and classy. Their prices were amazing as well. Everything was individually labeled, but most handbags were under $200. Isn't that great?! A beautiful exotic skin hobo with rosette detailing (9th photo below) was $150, a python print chain strap handbag was $129 (last photo below), a very chic black leather tote was $133 (10th photo below), and evening clutches ranged from $65~$120. There was also a section for damaged bags (some with very minor defects) that were priced $75 & under. This sale ends at noon tomorrow and they only accept credit cards. Even if you aren't a size 6, I thought it was worth a visit since their selection of handbags were abundant and affordable.
