H&M made the announcement yesterday that their new designer collaboration for Fall '11 will be with Donatella Versace. Now, I'm not really a Versace girl, but when I heard the collection would be comprised of iconic Versace pieces dating back to the 80s, it did pique my interest. To voice my opinion, Donatella is very talented and has done a wonderful job in continuing the legacy of her brother, Gianni. But I've always felt that she hasn't been able to fill his shoes. To be fair, these are BIG shoes--Gianni Versace was the king of 80s-90s glamour. I also think the designer collab bar has been raised quite a bit after the Lanvin x H&M collection. Anyway, the countdown to November 19th has begun and I'm looking forward to what Donatella has in store for us. (That black asymmetrical dress on top left looks divine, no?) Until then, click pass the break to see 5 marvelous looks that I picked from Donnatella Versace's past collections.
