Balenciaga Circa 2006

One of my favorite collections ever from Balenciaga is Ghesquière's exquisite creations for Spring 2006. I am an avid admirer of fashion & decor from late 17th through 18th century France--also known as the Bourbon era. So naturally, Ghesquière's interpretational Louis XIV fantasy had a big impact on me. Incredibly delicate organza dresses, intricate laces/chiffons, and extravagant peplums in creamy hues made me fall deeply in love with each piece. And, what can I say about those futuristic sandals, other than they add a wonderfully odd emotion to the ensembles.
