*SAMPLE SALE* Alexis Bittar's Shining Stars

What girl doesn't want a dazzling piece of adornment? Alexis Bittar's sense of movement in his designs and uniqueness are beloved by fashion-forward ladies, so I was more than happy to take a sneak peek into tomorrow's Alexis Bittar sample sale.

Before I begin, here's one important MizAdvice: make sure to hit an ATM before you go because credit cards are not accepted. So be sure to bring enough cash because, I promise you, there will be many many things you'll want to take home.

With that said, let's begin! When I visited the Alexis Bittar sample sale earlier today, the employees were busy setting up for tonight's Friends & Family event. They were kind enough to grant me an early preview and as soon as I walked in, my heart was all aflutter. There was an abundance of Alexis Bittar's signature lucites, earrings, bracelets, bangles, necklaces, rings, and brooches that glistened in the room's light. Every single piece was splendid! As for pricing, most merchandise was affordable while a few extravagant pieces--statement necklaces & intricately embellished bracelets--were above the $200 mark. Here are a few detailed prices. The gold-plated statement necklace in the middle of the 6th photo below was $150, the gray pearl necklaces in the 8th photo were $98 & $195, and the gold heavy pendants in the 13th photo were $80, $118, and $190. Bangles & cuffs were also priced individually. Alexis Bittar's studded lucite bangles were available in small, medium, large, and extra large (1st photo below). A lucite bangle in size small was $79, which I thought was reasonable. The wide cuffs in the 5th photo were $90 while the gold wide cuffs in the last photo were $158 (originally $395). There was also one very elaborately studded gold bangle that was priced $220. Although there were a few pieces that could go over the budget for some, I still found tons of beautiful jewelry priced under $100. Earrings & rings, for instance, can be bought easily for well under $100. If you can stretch your budget just a little, you can bring home gorgeous drop earrings in more extravagant styles for $140 and under.

The biggest bargains, without a doubt, were located in the sample trays in the middle of the room. Inside these trays I spotted $5, $10, & $15 wooden bangles, $30 squared skinny lucite bangles, and cocktail rings under $100. Next to these sample trays, there was another tray filled with Alexis Bittar's famous lucite flower pins. They were absolutely stunning!! A pale pink flower brooch that caught my attention was $198. Interestingly enough, after browsing through these tray section, I stumbled upon a small selection of handbags. But, these bags couldn't keep my interest compared to Bittar's sparkles and shimmers.

If I didn't mention this before, this was my first Alexis Bittar sample sale and I have to say it was delightful. If you can spare a few hundred in cash, there was enough Bittar jewels to fill your friends and family's holiday stockings.

  1. Everything seems overpriced after the Noir sample sale. However, I do love the bracelets in the last picture. They are absolutely gorgeous.

  2. How much are those bracelets?

  3. The bracelets in the last photo were $158 (originally $395)

  4. i went to this yesterday and i advise that you bring a calculator and add up your total yourself, especially if your bucket is brimming with jewels. I overpaid about $50 at checkout and even before that, had errors when they were adding it up. The sharpie written numbers on each item can be hard to read, and plus cashiering is not their day job (God knows i would be horrible at it). At checkout they use a standard calculator with the roll of paper; there is no receipt, no itemized slip, its all cash only, so there is virtually no chance of recouping your lost dollars if a mistake is made.

Granted, the sale is worth checking out. lots and lots of great stuff.

  5. Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear that you had to overpay due to Bittar's mistake and I really appreciate this important advice.

  6. anyone know if prices have gone down today?
