Do you think they will have any rocco bags/wallets?
ReplyDeleteAny thoughts on how early we should get there on day 1 for a good crack at the bags?? I am dying for an Emile large tote in black and based on comments from last year, they had them... Thanks so much! You've been so helpful with your comments on YSL.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure! Wake up at the crack of dawn. Get there as early as possible.
Deletevery excited
ReplyDeletelooking for a rocco in white? it's on outnet now for $385 (supposedly they were at the last sample sale for $350):

is that a typo on the time of the first date?
ReplyDeleteeagle-eye level achieved! thanks :)
Deleteis it better to go the first day or last day?
ReplyDeleteGoing bright and early on the first day gets you the best variety of merchandise. Going on the last day gets you better discounts on the leftovers. The choice is yours.
Deletewill there be any mens items?
ReplyDeleteYes, there will be a small selection of men's.
DeleteThanks. If I am to get my hands on the mens stuff it is best I show up at the crack of dawn, correct?
DeleteFor men, you don't need to get up as early to grab the good stuff. The only problem is that if you get there mid-morning, you'll need to wait on line with all the ladies to get inside. This means you could be wasting your time waiting outside.
DeleteDo you have any updates on if this sale is getting postponed due to the storm? Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard anything yet since all of lower Manhattan is still closed due to the power outage. Once everything is restored, I'm sure my contact at Alexander Wang will let me know of any updates.
DeleteHi, what's the earliest time you've seen people line up for an Alexander Wang sale?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Shoppers definitely start lining up early. I suggest arriving to the sale no later than 6:30am.
Deletewould you mind confirming the start time of the sale for the 1st 3 days? i am seeing 8am on some sites (including yours), and 9am on some others. i would really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteThe sale starts at 8am on November 6th, 7th, and 8th.
Deleteplease let us know if the sample sale will actually take place tomorrow (same location ect)? thanks!
ReplyDeleteMascha, the sale is still scheduled to start tomorrow.
DeleteHas anyone been to this sale on the last day? Do they drop the prices, if so, how drastic?
ReplyDeletemiz, not to totally overkill on this, but sample sally is reporting as follows. how certain are you about your info? i am willing to wake up early to get there but not if the sale's not happening!

I spoke with someone from corporate today, who said there is no power at the sale location. There will be an update tomorrow.

nymag and mizhattan are both reporting that it’s still on, but i do not want to wake up at the break of dawn tomorrow to get in line if it’s not actually happening. did your contact at corporate suggest that we shouldn’t go tomorrow?

I spoke to AW corporate today at 2PM. I’m not sure how updated nymag/mizhattan/madisonavespy’s information is.
The sale will go forward. The electricity did go out early in the afternoon today but everything returned to normal for the VIP/Press event in the evening.
Deletewere you at the press event/did you see the preview?
DeleteA family member took my invite as I had a dinner engagement. She got in and I was told electricity was restored from an outage earlier in the afternoon. So the public opening will go forward tomorrow morning.
DeleteYou're the best- thanks so much!
DeleteDo you think they will have the prisma tote in black?

Deletei heard there's no more bags and shoes
Any updates on what the line looks like?
ReplyDeleteThe line is halfway towards Prince St as of 3pm.
DeleteI just came for the sample sale. I purchased a rocco bag leathe and pony for $400
ReplyDeleteAround what time do you think the final markdowns for the last day will be? I'm thinking about getting there at 10 am, would that be too early?
ReplyDeleteHi Connie,
DeleteThey had markdowns today. Shoes are now $95 and RTW have an additional 20% off. Reports have been coming in that these were it and there would not be any further markdowns. If for some reason AW decides on further reductions, then around 1pm would be your best bet.
Thanks for the info!!!
