The New Saint Laurent

Out with the old, in with the new! Hedi Slimane & his team are trying to revamp the house of Yves Saint Laurent at the speed of light (talk about moving on!). It's only been 3 days since the new creative director presented his first-ever collection for newly renamed Saint Laurent, and now, the house's website has been completely redesigned & ready to ship out many pieces from the new Spring '13 Collection.

I spent a few hours browsing the new site and found some of the label's iconics, like the Le Smoking blazers & trench coats. Fashion-forward ladies will be interested in Saint Laurent's soon-to-become "IT" bags like the Betty shoulder bags, the Babylone 3 chain bags, classic duffles, and square pochette clutches. The shoe section was comprised of sexy pairs like the Paloma platforms, studded Jerry sandals, and the Angie platforms (my fav!).

If you're still fond of Stefano Pilati's work, there are a few items like the Tribute sandals, Muse Two handbags, and Cabas bags available to shop. I'm most certain that this newly redesigned website will be quickly updated with more pieces from the Spring '13 Collection. But even now, you can certainly get a taste of Hedi Slimane's take on Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent's heritage.
