J.Crew Edie Purse in Alligator

Look what Jenna Lyons and her design team have cooked up! It's the J.Crew Collection Edie purse in ALLIGATOR. Price: a whooping $1,500!!! It's no surprise that J.Crew likes to push the boundaries when introducing pricy items through their Collection line but, I have to say, they really have outdone themselves with this bag. Available exclusively at their Upper East boutique, these luxed up Edie purses come in 3 colors: waterfront, pesto, and merlot. There's also a python version for $795(!). To be fair $1,500 does sound reasonable for an alligator bag, but I can't help but think that it's still J.Crew. What do you guys all think?
