An invitation arrived at my home and I wanted to share the yummy details with you. Premier French fashion house Chanel will be hosting their winter private sale this week on December 11th & 12th at all their US boutiques. Although this private sale is intended for invited guests only, there is no list or stanchions to restrict entry. Anyone (and I mean ANYONE) can drop by at one of their stores and save 40% off on the brand's Fall '13 collection--RTW, shoes, and seasonal accessories. My SA informs me handbags will not be included and the event goes public starting Friday.

Will the sale prices be reflected once you get to the store or will you have to ask for a discount without an invite?
ReplyDeleteThere is a special section for the private sale. If you buy stuff from that section will be discounted no matter what.

ReplyDeletein the boutiques, how do you identify the section that has the items that has the private sale discount price?
ReplyDeleteEx: The 57th main boutique has a special area on the 2nd or 3rd floor (memory is fuzzy) with racks with the word "SALE" on them. It should be the same at all their other stores if you plan on going elsewhere.

ReplyDeleteA visit to Chanel. I feel like I'm contemplating a trip to a foreign country that I have never been to before. One that recently relaxed passport restrictions. Sorry. Insecurity makes me crack terrible jokes. I'm really curious. I might go. I hope they don't take one look at me and ask me what I'm doing there and if I am lost.
ReplyDeleteYou shouldn't be afraid. I was overwhelmed when I first went to get a "designer" coat at a brand which will remain anonymous. But when it was all said and done, it wasn't so bad.

ReplyDeleteaccessories could be something like brooches, necklaces, bracelets.
I went today, the sale actually starts tomorrow. The boutique in SOHO will only have some shoes and some accessories on sale.
ReplyDeleteBTW, this was my first time in a Chanel boutique. The sales associates are super friendly and down to earth. Did not feel like snobby upscale store. I will definitely come back for some make up. :)
