*SAMPLE SALE* It's an Honor

Love discovering new labels but hate sacrificing your budget? Well then, you might find this week's Honor sample sale right down your alley. I've been following designer Giovanna Randall's work for sometime but never had a chance to actually see her collections in person. Therefore it was an "honor" having had the opportunity to browse and learn more about the newbie label. Care to join me?

When I entered the sale at 10am sharp, Honor's Madison Square Park office/showroom was rather quiet and relaxed. With only a handful of shoppers in sight, I was able to thoroughly peruse the 15 or so racks that held Giovanna Randall's past season collections and sample pieces.

Starting with prices, each item was marked with a color sticker. There were a total of eight different colors and prices ranged from $45 to $600. Tops & bottoms were mostly under $100 while outerwear & evening dresses were $295~$600. Here are a few specifics. A mint green polka dot blouse was $75 (6th photo below), a white cutout back dress was $135 (8th photo below), a black rose print pencil skirt was $195 (4th photo below), a black tuxedo blazer was $295, a pair of wide-leg trousers was $95, trench coats were $495, and double breasted wool coats were $495. There were also a few metallic and leather skirts priced $195 (1st photo below).

Please keep in mind that there were no fitting rooms so I suggest you dress accordingly if you decide to stop by. Overall, today's Honor sample sale wasn't as mind-blowing as I hoped. (I was secretly hoping to find the heart motif designs from their Fall '13 collection.) But nonetheless, if you're in the market for some nice office outfits at reasonable prices, all the while discovering a new NYC brand, you might want to check it this sample sale out.
