*SAMPLE SALE* Gucci

Attention fellow Mizhattanites! I've received word from a trusty source that Gucci is currently hosting an employee sample sale at Soiffer Haskin. As you might have guessed, this corporate sale requires you have an invite or be a +1. Merchandise includes RTW, shoes, handbags, and accessories. As of this writing, there is a substantial line of sale goers in front of Soiffer Haskin. If you're wondering what it's like to be inside the sale, here's what readers had to say about the Gucci sample sale back in 2012.

    When I was at the Oscar de la Renta sample sale, I overheard the employees at Soiffer Haskin talking about the gucci sale! Is it worth to stop by or is it strictly for people with invites?

    I passed by, they locked the line inside the building, so no line from outside. They security is super strict. The girl stands outside with a iPad for name check

    there was a long line across of the street yesterday. I didn't get to go in since I am not on the list, but my friend went. She got me a sukey medium tote for $150:) most leather bags were $300, and exotic skin were $800. 7 bags limit per person. shoes were $50 and $80. She said things were flying fast, not sure how much is left by now....

    Was there yesterday. Good selection of items. I got there around 5AM and was in the first 50 people to get in. I left around noon and there was a line down the block. I can post some of my finds.

    I got in today without an invite. Thank you Miz for the info. Because of you I picked up a ton of things at over 90% off. They had additional markdown on clothes and small leather goods today. There were no woman's shoes left, but my husband walked away with a nice black pair of shoes for $80 (they still had a nice stock of men's shoes from size 7 to 16) and 3 suits for $150 each (plenty of suits were left as well). Some handbags were leftover in one style for $400 and some exotic handbags for $800 or $1,000. I passed on them and went straight for the clothing.

      I discreetly asked if the sample sale was still going on and acted like I knew where I was going. However, when I was leaving a couple was given hard time and were questioned if they were on the list. I guess it is all based on luck. I really went over there with an expectation of being turned down.

      I hear some people are able to get into the Louboutin sample sale...another coveted sample sale I would love to attend.
