*SAMPLE SALE* High Score at Packham

Dum-dum-da-dum...dum-dum-da-dum... Wedded bliss is on the way but there's still so much to prep. Luckily for bargain-conscious brides, there's the 1-day only Jenny Packham sample sale happening in MePa today. The British fashion label (and one of Kate Middleton's favorite brands), opened their intimate studio up to future brides and I stopped by early this morning to check out their offerings. So, what score can you get at Packham? Let's find out!

The saying goes that a bride should have something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. But if you wish to be a bride with exquisite taste, you should definitely consider wearing something Packham. When I first arrived just in time for opening, there were already a handful of shoppers waiting. Only the first 15 shoppers were allowed in due to the limited space inside the studio and I entered the sale with the first group. Since the sale is a 1-day event, I will try to write this review as brief as possible.

Starting with bridal wear, there were 4 racks of floor length gowns and cocktail length dresses. Sizes were available from 2 to 10, and prices ranged roughly from $850 to $1,680. Many of the gowns had different detailing such as sequins, tulles, satins, drapes, embroideries, and beads.

The bridal jewelry and accessories section was definitely worth a look. Prices started as low as $19 for lace garters to $200 for embellished clutches. Sparkly earrings, necklaces, bracelets, headbands, sashes, and tiaras were mostly under $100.

There was also one rack of evening gowns and another rack of lingerie. Evening gowns were priced anywhere between $700 and $2,500, and I spotted floral prints, sequins, feathers, and jewel colors.

Though sizes were limited and merchandise was disappearing quickly, today's Jenny Packham sample sale is definitely worth stopping by if you have the time. But hurry because the sale ends at 6pm.

  3. Went during lunch and was pleasantly surprised. There was no line to get in and all the SAs were so friendly and helpful. The dresses were in great condition too. Definitely worth checking out. I got a beautiful dress from 2010 collection for $1350.
