*SAMPLE SALE* Details from Inside Today's Proenza Schouler F&F

Despite last year's disappointing selection, it looks like tomorrow's Proenza Schouler sample sale may actually be worth dropping by. A fellow Mizhattanite who attended today's F&F portion was kind enough to share the experience in the comment section of my previous Proenza Schouler article and the sale sounded pretty promising.

"This was a really good sale. There were a gazillion gorgeous bags left at the F&F. Bags $399, clutches $199, pouches/wallets/iPad cases for $99. Hopefully, they will put them out for the public portion. Also, tons of denim jeans for $25. However, the speckled jeans were $75. Sample clothing prices varied but were still very wallet-friendly - from $29 to $199 (and $499 for runway dresses). Most of the rest of the drool-worthy clothing was stock for about 70% off."

The sale will open to the public tomorrow morning at 9 and it's a 1-day only affair. If you do check out the sale tomorrow, please feel free to share your findings or any details that might be helpful to your fellow Mizhattanites. Thank you and Happy Shopping!

  2. Hi Miz. Just got back - this was a pretty good sale. There were a number of bags - nothing amazing - all were $399. Wallets were $99. There are boxes on the floor with $20 T shirts - some are damaged but most aren't - I found some amazing tops there. Most racks are 70% off (things are priced as marked) Some racks are 70% off plus an additional 50% - good deals.
The space is huge - but they weren't letting many people in at a time. I waited outside for 40 minutes when I got in I was surprised to see the place was pretty empty. If you're in the neighborhood - I would definitely recommend you stop by.

  3. I grabbed one of the four wallets left when I got there at noon. The bag selection went fast but while waiting to check out, SAs brought out a few more (read: 2) bags every so often...they were most likely bringing back bags people passed on at the register.

Takes almost as long to check out as it may be to get in but definitely worth a stop by if you're in SoHo!

  4. I got there around 10a and only waited a few minutes to get inside. There were four long tables of bags, which was down to 2 when I left. Lots of PS1 totes, neutral colors were mostly gone, but they had some suede poppy orange, neon green ones left. Lots of keepall totes. I did see one woman with a pink suede PS1, which shie bought. Wallets and ipad cases were $99. Samples shoes were the best buy at $49/each. Mostly size 37 and 40. Scarfs were $99 and belts were $29. This is one of the better sales that I've been to.

    1. I'm so glad this year's sample sale has gotten better. Proenza Schouler sample sales in the last few years were so disappointing. Thank you for your comment. :)

  5. Great sale. I was there at 12:30 and there were still some PS1 carryalls left, though most of them are gone by the time I left. There are plenty of good merchandise on stock, most of them priced $200~$400

  6. I was there around 2:30pm. Leather goods are all picked over and only funky color totes left :-( Didn't end up buying anything.

  7. I was there around 2:30/3:00pm. Agree with the above poster that not much in bags left. A lot of clothes, especially from Fall 2013, but most sizes seem to be 6 or smaller. I debated on buying one of the last white carryalls, but I eventually ended up passing on it. Another woman had already picked it up by the time I was leaving.
