*SAMPLE SALE* Unfurling Furla

With the official beginning of autumn only a week away, I'm sure many of you are looking for ways to update your wardrobe. For me, a new handbag usually does the trick when it comes to upping my look for the new season. Plus, I simply love that feeling whenever I bring home a new handbag (I'm sure many of you would agree). So, an invite to this week's Furla sample sale was an opportunity I did not want to miss and I'm glad I didn't. After checking out the sale this morning, I came out feeling good. Really really good, actually. It was definitely worth braving the early morning rain.

To unfurl today's Furla sample sale offerings, let's begin with the wide assortment of rainbow colors that filled the showroom. From Furla's iconic Candy totes--in various sizes & styles--to the brand's Italian made office totes, there were so many different varieties and colors to choose from. As if this wasn't enough to get psyched up on, I found several bags at today's sale that are due for production NEXT spring. You read that right. Shoppers attending this sale get first dibs on designs that aren't even out yet. Plus, did I mention prices were excellent?! Candy totes in small sizes ranged between $50 and $75 while standard sizes were priced $100~$175. To mention a few of what I found, I spotted mini crossbody oxfords, chain-strap crossbodys, snake skin Acacias, Myrtle satchels, and classic satchels.

Leather bags were abundant and they were available in oversized totes, top handles, buckets, mini satchels, clutches, crossbodys, and shoulder bags. Handbags in large sizes, animal prints, and exotic embossed leathers went for $325 & $350 while standard sizes & minis were $75-$175. Piper satchels, for instance, were $165 (online price $448 & 6th photo below), Lotus totes were $165 (online price $348), Metropolis crossbodys were $85 (online price $298 & 17th photo below), and Olimpia totes were $135 (online price $348 & 16th photo below).

The shoes section wasn't as well stocked compared to the display cases full of bags but prices were impressive. Jelly flats, Candys, and rainboots were all $25, flats were $50, wedges were $50, pumps were $75, and booties were $75.

Three tables of accessories and small leather goods were also present at this event. Wallets were $40~$75, key chains & jewelry were $20-$75, and scarves were $30.

This week's Furla sample sale will run until Thursday but sadly the company will not be restocking merchandise. Though the inventory was plentiful when I arrived at 9am, many items (especially handbags) were already in the hands of euphoric early bird shoppers by the time I left. Therefore, I suggest heading over ASAP!

  2. I left the store at 2 PM and about 80% of the merchandise was gone! They said they will not be restocking.

  3. Thank you Miz on the scoop. I stopped by this afternoon around 4pm. A lot of the stock was already depleted. However, there were still some deals to have, including: $25 heels and $60 purses. However, most wallets, scarfs, a lot of purses were already gone. I thought this sample sale was great and the staff was really professional. The only weird thing is that they charged sales tax on shoes under $110, but not on belts.

  6. A few candy satchels, shoes, some wallets and jewelry, studded beige handbags, a few totes.. Check for damages and the great priced ones are long gone.. Might find something though.. Very cleared out.. I got a duffle crossbody in saffiano leather with slight damage for $125 and a fall-winter scarf/wrap which I think was a random fluke.. No more left.. Have fun and good luck!

  7. For example- they had this exact bag there today- with some discoloration on the front in a few spots- for $150.. Only $20 less than a perfect and new bag.. Must have lost the great deals to yesterday's crowd
