For a girl who enjoys a little extravagance every now and then--particularly when it comes to irresistible diamonds, gems, and sparkles--a sale hosted by Swiss luxury jeweler Chopard should do the trick. Held at Soiffer Haskin over the last two years, I still have trouble fathoming the fact that such a prestige jewelry brand could offer generous markdowns on their exquisitely made watches and jewelry. So this morning, trying to gain understanding once again, I headed to this year's Chopard sample sale to treat myself to some luxury.
If you're interested in shopping at this year's Chopard sample sale, be prepared to do some serious damage to your bank account. Though the event offered a significant discount on jewelry and watches, it should come as no surprise that brand's prices are no where close to being affordable. To go into detail, women's & men's jewelry, watches, and accessories were discounted 30% to 70% off original retail prices. Each item was marked with a color sticker that correlated to a certain percentage off. Prices on watches started around $2,500 and went all the way up to $30,000. Designs ranged from diamond-encrusted alligator straps to Happy Sport ceramics.
Women's jewelry was available in many drool-worthy styles and designs. From gorgeous rose gold Imperiale pendant necklaces to Happy diamond stud earrings, there were lots of precious jewels for your eyes to feast on. Prices covered such a wide spectrum that I can't give you the cost of each and every item but here's a small sampling. A diamond swan brooch was $7,500 (originally $25,000), a Happy bracelet in platinum & diamond was $3,535 (originally $7,070), and heart-shaped Happy stud earrings were $1,740 (originally $5,800).
While briefly checking out the accessories table, I came across a limited selection of sunglasses ($300~$500), iphone cases, and other small leather goods.
Today's Chopard sample sale runs through Monday, October 13th, so you have plenty of time to drop by this weekend. Again, don't expect prices to be cheap even with 30% to 70% markdowns. Also, if I may add, the selection of merchandise seemed to have gotten a lot better compared to their sale in 2012. I would definitely consider including this sale in your weekend agenda if you're in the market for some beautiful sparkles. Happy Shopping!

Thank you for the updates! I'm sick at home. I really want to go.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're sick. Hope you feel better soon so you can go.
DeleteThe 2012 sale was pretty good because Chopard was cleaning out its back stock and the discounts were fairly deep. Some of the same pieces at today's sale were 70% off then and are only 50% off now.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. I was pleasantly surprised to see many items discounted 70% off though.
DeleteAre there any round dangling or stud happy earrings?
ReplyDeleteYes, there were quite a few drop earrings and Happy studs.
DeleteWould there be price drop on the last day of the sale?
ReplyDeleteI doubt it but I'll let you know if they do.
DeleteI have no interest in Chopard but I had to read the post for that title alone. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha. Thank you for reading. :)
DeleteDo you have any further insight on the availability of men's watches? Thanks!

ReplyDeleteHow are the prices on the last day?
ReplyDeletethis was not affordable sale. however, when I went on the afternoon of the first day, most of the stock was gone or on hold. I wanted happy drop earring, couldnt find any. There were some happy heart earrings with colored stones, but they were too small.
