*SAMPLE SALE* What You'll Find at Tomorrow's The Row Sale

As you may already know, early reviews from today's Hermès sale were good. But if you hate the hustle & bustle and don't want to brave the long wait tomorrow, then you might want to check out The Row's annual bargain event. Ashley & Mary Kate Olsen's upscale label is hosting a 2-day sample sale starting tomorrow and I was invited to preview the merchandise earlier today. Disappointingly, photos were strictly prohibited during the F&F portion but I was able to peruse the goods without a hitch. So, here's a brief rundown of what you can expect tomorrow.

The epitome of sophistication and understated elegance, The Row's minimal yet luxurious handbags were discounted 60% off today. Carry All totes were priced $1,140 (originally $2,850) and they were available in toffee, taupe, chocolate, red, and black. Doctor bags were also present at today's sale and they were $1,900 (originally $4,750). I also spotted Top-Handle satchels which were available in all black, black/ruby/white, and honey brown. Top-Handle satchels were marked down to $1,340 (originally $3,350). In addition, I saw several Hobo bags which were available in black, chocolate, and gray. If you're in the market for an everyday bag, The Row's Shopper totes were available in yellow and mahogany. They were $580 (originally $1,450). Exotic skin handbags and clutches had their own separate section with prices discounted 60% off retail.

RTW was well stocked with Ashley & Mary Kate's past season collections. Sizes ranged from 0 to 12 and XS to L. Everything in the RTW section was discounted 70% off and I spotted a wide assortment of the brand's signature minimal designs. There were tweed jackets, cashmere sweaters, tailored fit trousers, oversized drape coats, jersey pencil skirts, sleeveless tops, open-front sweater coats, and much more.

Though I was able to find lots of handbags that are currently being sold at full price at department stores and online retailers, to be quite frank, this year's The Row sale wasn't as great as last year's event. Prices were higher plus there were no accessories like sunglasses or belts available. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they will slash prices on the last day just like last year.

    2. I was there this morning. There were maybe 2 sweater styles left, neither desirable. Lots of t-shirt and jersey type shirts folded on the table. The RTW that is left is not too appealing. Some of the bags are now 80% off. I would not go out of your way unless you're in the neighborhood.

  6. in case anyone is curious, in the final few hours of the sale, the non-exotic bags went for 85% off (exotics were 70% off, and there was one gorgeous day luxe alligator bag that was being kept hidden for 60% off), RTW was 85% off, and t-shirts were 90% off. Sadly, nothing went to 95% off this year.
