*SALE HUNT* Estée Lauder Warehouse Sale

A fellow Mizhattanite (BIG thanks to AC!) very kindly emailed in the details regarding the upcoming Estée Lauder warehouse sale. The acclaimed cosmetics powerhouse is known to hold multiple warehouse sales every year at their Melville, Long Island storage center for employees and F&F. Initially, I was hesitant to write an article because the sale is located quite a distance away from the city and also because it's advertised as a closed door event. However, according to AC who shared the scoop, all you need to do is present this invite on your phone or bring a printout to get inside. Once you make your way in, you'll find a bevy of beauty labels like MAC, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Origins, Tom Ford, Estée Lauder, and others owned by the company. One thing to note, the sale is notorious for drawing a long line of shoppers, so you might want to get there early.

UPDATE: Uh oh. Looks like this story got too much traction to fly under the radar. I just received an email from executives at Estée Lauder stating that non-invitees will be turned away at the door.

Where: 80 Ruland Road, Melville NY 11747

When: Saturday, June 13th. 8am~3:30pm

  1. Any idea of what the typical discounts are? Also do they have perfume?

    1. Yes, they do have fragrances. In addition, they have beauty tools and accessories. Discounts differ substantially depending on item but the deals are very good.

  2. Oh God. I'm not sure I could justify the trip even I was guaranteed to get in. It sounds like a lot of fun though. I didn't know that Estee Lauder owned all those brands.

  3. Thanks so much for sharing! I see the invite needs a signature... Is it ok to show it blank, as it is now?

    1. I am concern about that as well.

    2. I was aware Estée Lauder had warehouse sales for some time now but have never had the chance to go to one--hence the hesitation in writing this article. However, in the reader's email, the person wrote:

"Just present the invitation on a phone or printed to get in. It shouldn't be a problem."

Hopefully, if the person reads these comments and maybe help clarify the situation. Or, if anyone has been to one in the past, he/she can also help.

    3. Thank you for replying! Hopefully AC will let us know. It's quite a ride to get there from where I am and I don't want to have my entry denied :(

    4. I completely understand and wouldn't want that as well.

    5. I get the actual invites at work and they are not signed either.

    6. Hi. Since you get them at work are they a certain color like one person wrote?

    6. Hi all. Well I think its fair to go by who first expressed interest. So if Jennuine86 needs a ride I can take her and then one other person. So Sarina I would only have room for one more.Shelley if either of them drop out I'd be happy to take you.

    1. Hi Jenn,

The reader who sent in the details did not disclose any personal information. In the email the person wrote:

"Just present the invitation on a phone or printed to get in. It shouldn't be a problem."

    2. So has anyone confirmed if these invites are a certain color or can they be printed on regular white paper?

      Delete
  6. Every time they have a sale I see these invites littered all over long island. The ones I saw are printed on regular paper with no signatures. I would bring a printout instead of showing on phone. They pretty much let anyone in if they are not busy.

  7. UPDATE (6/4): Tipster AC was nice enough to send in an updated invitation with signature. The invite link within the article has been updated. Fellow Mizhattanites can also find the updated invitation: HERE

  9. Even with that signed invite you posted?

  10. Thanks racked.com! As soon as I saw them pig back your article and post the link to the invite I knew it was ruined. UGh!

  11. Miz I would take the link down to the signed one so racked.com or someone else doesn't spread it around too much and maybe some of us can still get in with it!

  12. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm still going to go. I mentioned this sale to a coworker and she told me she went to one a while back ago because of her sister and they don't have a name check list. Like Miz wrote they only verify the ticket and it can be blank tickets. So my reasoning is how are they really going to know who are friends and family and who aren't? It's going to be a headache for them and it just sounds like they don't want a rush of people there. This email to Miz sounds like its for crowd control purposes only.

    1. Did you guys print out the ticket? If so did you make it a certain size?

      Delete
  13. Please don't waste your time. Tickets are a certain size and color. They were turning away people at the door who printed out the invite. They also refused accepting invites on the phone. Fortunately, a lady in front had extra tickets and was generous enough to give me 1.

  14. If you don't have a ticket, don't go. They were strict. I got a ticket from a woman who gave me her extra after I was turned away. The color is blue.

  15. I went first thing this a.m most people at the time had white tickets and used those. However, unless you were looking for perfume and gift sets you really missed nothing. Not impressed at all.

  16. You have to request them on company letterhead.
