And to help you get your style groove on, London-bred designer Misha Nonoo will be hosting her 2015 summer sample sale at the company's showroom in the Garment District next week. The folks at Misha Nonoo kindly delved into the details of their upcoming sale and it sounds spectacular. 1. No honey :-) This is a designer brand and a very good one. You can't compare it to a mall brand like Gap or H&M which churns out clothes by the ton.

  2. Yes but plenty of "designer" brands are made in China. Phillip Lim, Alex Wang, Rag and Bone, DVF..That is why I don't buy any of those brands...because I don't do "Made in China." So I wanted to be positive before going over to the sale. Its not just The Gap that makes their clothes in China.

  3. You should seriously reconsider your Made in China prejudice. There are plenty of outstanding products made there now that pass stringent QA tests. I'm not just speaking in the realm of fashion. Most tech sector companies like Apple manufacture their products there and so forth...

    2. Are you sure about restocking? I was told there will not be by multiple employees when I was there. Also most of the popular styles like the Jenny silk organza skirts and Allison dresses sold out by early afternoon. Fur coats are gone as well. Still a nice selection of dresses and separates but predominantly in size 2, even the stock, although there is an occasional size 6 or 8. As far as the Manolo sample shoes, honestly I wouldn't bother. They are very worn looking and must have been used heavily on the runway. Size 42 suggests those were worn by models.

Having said that, it was a really good sale if you got there early enough and happen to fit the sample size. It was great being able to interact with Misha and her mom :)

  6. I went yesterday after work and was told by two staffers that they would be restocking the stock - no more samples are left - and the shipments were due to arrive around noon. I had gone specifically for the Jenny skirt and grabbed the last one, only to be told that they were getting more tomorrow, including the tweed skirt with one see-through panel. And also more of the floral skort with the kick pleat in the front. This is a great sale - the items are yes, made in China, but the tailoring is excellent, as is the quality. The silks were substantial and the seaming was excellent. Also, Misha's mom is super sweet!

    1. There's a curtained off area in the back but it's near the big windows facing the buildings across the streets. Not a big deal but I heard a few people expressing concern.
