*SUNDAY WINDOW SHOPPING* Saks 10022-SHOE

On August 22nd, Saks Fifth Avenue unveiled their first Manolo Blahnik boutique on their 8th floor 10022-SHOE salon. The 760 sq ft shop-in-shop features two rooms custom designed by Saks and Manolo. Inspiration for the space was drawn from a luxurious residential home. One of the rooms takes cues from a classy boudoir and is decorated with a large Murano glass chandelier, custom metalwork, and mother-of-pearl screens. The second room is an elegant sitting room adorned with a Venetian glass mirrored wall. And to celebrate the opening of this permanent retail fixture at Saks as well as the launch of his new book, Fleeting Gestures and Obsessions, Mr. Blahnik himself will make a personal appearance at Saks on September 10th. I took a quick tour of this new stiletto nirvana earlier this week and photographed the ambiance for you to see.
