*SAMPLE SALE* Early Word from Today's Hermès VIP

This year's much anticipated Hermès sample sale opened its doors at 12pm for VIPs. I wasn't able to attend the sale today but many of my fellow Mizhattanites kindly wrote in and shared details from the sale. I've been told similar merchandise from the brand's last year sale was present with bracelets (printed enamels and leather styles), scarves, twillies, neckties, shoes, and RTW available for shoppers. What was surprising to hear was the fact that the discounts were bigger this time around. Bracelets and scarves, I've been told, were 60% off. However, as great as this all sounds, you might not want to get your hopes too high as the selection, according to these tipsters, wasn't worth braving a long line for. In addition, there is a rumor going around that the sale organizer will not be putting out enough inventory on the opening day. Instead, they will be holding it off until Saturday which is the last day of the sale. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if this is really true when the sale officially opens to the public tomorrow. As always, I will be keeping everyone posted on this matter and any other developing news from the sale via Twitter and Instagram.

  2. Hey Miz - Is that an old pic from the last sale? Or they're the same exact merchandise from last year?

  3. Hey Miz!
Thank you so much for sharing the info!!
I was wondering what the scoop is on men's ties (selection / price (is it -60% as well?)) and also if they had any baby and/or home merchandise and if tahrs 60% off as well?
    Thanks a lot!

    1. Hi Fatine E,

Men's ties were $75 but I'm not certain about tableware or baby items.

    2. Hi,

Madison ave spy went to the vip sale and said there were no baby items, home, or leather goods.

    3. Madison Ave Spy didn't go. Her report is lifted entirely from posts on the Purse Forum of people who DID go. As always, her info isn't 100% correct either. Scarves were $157 and there were leather bracelets. No bags or SLGs but they had gloves, scarf rings, horn jewelry, some costume jewelry like the cupidon necklace and an insane amount of enamel bangles from size 65 and up in all widths.

    5. She never went to the vip sale on Wednesday. These are the ways she falsely took claim she went to the vip sale.

      1) She stole a photo of the vip invite from Insta and reposted as her own.
      2) She also stole a photo from another blogger's post from last year's Hermes sale and claim it was from this year's sale.
      3) Her writing was lifted off of vip commenters on the Hermes subforum on Purse Forum who actually attended and one of them is super pissed!

Anyone can double check my allegations as it is all plainly there on Insta, Purse Forum and the internet.

These are typical Madision Ave Spy tactics to garner attention and it is despicable. People interested in sample sales or any sales in general should heed my warning and stay away from her with a 10 foot pole if you know what's good for you. There are plenty of bloggers and sale website that operate with accuracy and honesty so subscribe to them instead. She is not one of them.

  4. Hi! Did you see any Heure H watches? Thanks!

  5. Pls update of the line today. Additionally, if anyone attended yesterday, pls update if there were any H bracelets?

    Thank you.

P.S. I hope the rumor about attending on Saturday instead of today is true. I decided to attend on Saturday and I really hope there will be a variety of merchandise available.

We can all agree her work is invaluable and irreplaceable to anybody who sample sale shops in New York.

  7. KKRAZYY line right now. Even with the gaps put in place by SH employees it runs down to ninth and around. I would wager 300-350 people maybe more. Most of these people are going to get in well past noon.

  8. If anyone can confirm the Saturday rumors about restocking, please let us know. (With the sounds of the line today, there's no chance there will be any scarves left if the rumors are not true.)

  9. Hi Miz and other In-the-know shoppers - can you please advice whether it will be better for me to go end of day today or early tomorrow morning? both in terms of goodies available and wait time? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! xxxxx

  10. 2:08 pm. Line extends around ninth and is moving very very slowly. The employees say they can't rush the people inside so once people go in, they take their sweet time. Wait time is deff over three hours. Come with comfortable shoes.

  11. I waited 7.5 hours from 10 am - 5:30 pm. At 5:30 pm they let the three people ahead of me go, and shut down the line. Everyone ahead got wrist bands to go in, everyone else (me) were told to go home and come back another day. Line moved extremely slow, and they let in only a few at a time. Line went from 8th, down 33rd up to 9th, down 9th, and around to 31st.
