*SAMPLE SALE* Kirk Up Your Heels

This year marks Nicholas Kirkwood's 10 year anniversary in the business. For fans of his namesake label and savvy bargain seekers, the British designer's NYC sample sale is the perfect way to kirk up your heels and relax knowing full well you not only look stylish but grabbed some generous discounts in the process. Though it's been only three days since the bustling Jimmy Choo sample sale ended, I didn't want to pass on the opportunity to score deals on this high-end label's flashy shoes so I swung by the sale early this morning to see what kinds of architectural shapes and colorful details were available. So, here's what you can expect from this week's Nicholas Kirkwood sample sale.

The luxury cobbler's fall bargain event was off to a quiet start when I dropped by their F&F portion this morning. With only two public shoppers waiting outside and another two invited shoppers browsing inside, I was able to take a peruse of the merchandise without any of the typical commotion you expect from a designer shoe sample sale.

To start off, let's discuss the discounts. Markdowns reached up to 70% off retail. Prices started at $179 for basic pumps and went up to $585 for evening styles. Speaking of styles, the discounted inventory included pumps, sandals, flats, platforms, booties, and tall boots. As for the quality, everything was in near new or new condition with box and dust bag included with purchase.

To mention a few standouts, a pair of chevron pumps were $191, crystal embellished ruffle trim pumps were $389, knee-high gladiator sandals were $348, pink floral lace booties were $327, pearl-detailed booties were $299, black patent pumps were $179, studded sandals were $389, fox fur sandals were $449, nude lace kitten heel pumps were $234, Caspia sandals were $583, Maeva satin sandals were $585, nude studded heel pumps were $291, chevron loafers were $291, and low heel slingback pumps were $191.

Though markdowns weren't as great as last week's Jimmy Choo sample sale, if you're looking for a deal, there were a few basic styles for under $200 that I would suggest focusing your attention on. There is also a possibility of additional discounts towards the end of the sale (if their last sale in April is any indicaton, extra markdowns will go up 80% off), so stay tuned for further developments on this front.
