*SAMPLE SALE* Get Maiyet

Defining itself as a modern, luxury, fashion brand, Maiyet opens its doors to NYC sample sale shoppers for the first time ever this week. The discreet yet fancy five year old label creates timeless designs by partnering with artisans from around the globe who enrich the company's collections with handmade details. During yesterday's F&F preview, fans of Maiyet were able to grab these exquisite pieces at generous discounts.

Ever since I heard about Maiyet's first-ever sample sale, I've been anxiously waiting for the day to come. So with great excitement, I popped by the brand's pre-game bargain festivities yesterday evening. And thankfully enough, prices were reasonable and the selection did not disappoint.

In the womenswear section, there were nineteen racks of RTW. The inventory included tops, dresses, floor-length gowns, skirts, pants, jackets, knits, and coats. Generally speaking, sizes were available from 36 through 42. As for prices, t-shirts were $50, shirts/blouses were $150, skirts were $200, pants were $250, dresses were $250, outerwear was $400, and evening gowns were $500.

The handbag section, situated on the right side of the sale space, was where the crowds of deal seekers gathered the most. With prices on leather bags ranging from $150~$350, it was pretty apparent bargain hunters couldn't get enough of Maiyet's signature Sia shopper totes that were available in several different styles. In addition, the bag selection included Peyton totes, evening clutches, and fringed leather totes.

Shoes were displayed at the back of the venue and the merchandise included embellished mules, peep-toe sandals, oxfords, loafers, flat sandals, and boots. As far as prices go, sandals were $100, flats were $200, and boots were $250.

Jewelry pieces were on display inside two shiny vitrines near the checkout area. Markdowns on Maiyet's fine jewelry consisted of rings for $150 or $300, bracelets for $400, necklaces for $450, and earrings for $400. Costume jewelry was also available and priced lower. Rings and earrings were $100, bracelets were $150, and necklaces were $200.

Finally, as advertised, 260 Sample Sale is hosting two events at their new SoHo space: Maiyet and D.L. & Co. Before I left, I briefly checked out what D.L. & Co. had to offer and found a wide assortment of scented candles and home fragrances. For fellow Mizhattanites who are interested, prices started at $15 for medium skull candles and went up to $30 for candles in silver containers. 1. I went specifically to purchase a bag but that section is fast dwindling. I was able to pick up a Sia bag for $250 and a pair of the perforated booties. Really nice sale, I was impressed by the quality of the items.

    1. Do you know if they are going to restock the bags? Are there still Sia bags left? Thanks!

  2. I asked about restocking. The girls working the sale (who were lovely btw) said they didnt think so because they had restocked this morning. I did see some boxes coming in though so there is a chance. They have bags left- a couple of brown satchels and Sia bags in black. lots of clutches. Most of the Sias available were the tan embossed leather.
