Marysia Dobrzanska Reeves, the designer behind this chic swimwear label, was there to greet bargain shoppers and fans when the sale opened at the brand's cozy Garment District office. Inside, I found a limited inventory of merchandise with only five racks of resortwear and swimsuits plus twelve bins of bikinis and girls' apparel.
Thankfully though, among this lean selection, I was able to find Marysia's classic styles. On the racks I spotted Mott halterneck one-piece swimsuits available in three different colors: black, white, and pink. Other one-pieces included Antibes, Palm Springs, and Santa Barbara. All one-pieces were priced at $80. As far as bikinis, the brand's trademark scalloped designs like Broadway, Antibes, Mott, and more were placed inside plastic bins on the floor. Tops and bottoms were priced at $40 each and sold separately. The sale also offered beach coverups in the form of maxi dresses, tunics, and jumpsuits. Coverups were $70.
In addition to Marysia, the event offered discounted items from sister brand coolchange, and prices were really great. Dresses & tunics were $40, tops & pants were $30, shorts were $20, swimsuits were $20, beach blankets were $20, sarongs were $10, and girls' clothes were $20.
If you haven't had a chance yet to drop by this 1-day only sale, you might as well wait for their next one as inventory was limited and the line to get in was considerably long. On a final note, there was a communal changing area set up but there were no mirrors. The sale ends at 6pm this evening.
