Lanvin's newly appointed creative director, Bouchra Jarrar, debuted her inaugural collection for the Parisian luxury brand. Although it's not an official runway show, we can now take a peek at Jarrar's design direction through this Resort '17 catalogue. There are thirty-three different looks in total for next year's pre-spring, and consists of minimal lines, floral prints, and bright colors. As you can see, the whole collection feels very different from the Elbaz era, so I'm not sure how Lanvin fans will react to Jarrar's less glamorous and more practical direction. You can see the entire collection at Vogue, but before you do, here are fifteen highlights (check out the accessories and the new typeface logo too!).

It looks very mediocre to me. You could have seen similar designs may be at Club Monaco or the best high-end Club Monaco.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a bit plain, isn't it? Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
