*SAMPLE SALE* Cable Watching at David Yurman

While the Marni at H&M frenzy was storming all over Manhattan, the David Yurman sample sale took place in Chelsea this afternoon. When I popped in, the space was packed with busy shoppers browsing the glass showcases hoping to find some great bargains on David Yurman's renowned cable jewelry.

Rings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants, earrings, and timepieces were displayed gracefully inside many glass cases. All jewelry items were discounted 40~50% off while watches & sunglasses were 60% off retail prices. The shopping ambience as well as the inventory was much the same as last year's sale. From iconic cable pieces to elegant pearls & sparkly gemstones, there were tons of Yurman's esteemed creations on sale. So, let's go into details. In the bracelet section, I was able to find a large Cordelia link with diamond for $3,660, a few cable classics for $1,065~$1,770, and a few thin bangle styles for $1,170 (13th photo below). Necklaces were also very lovely. I spotted an Elements necklace that was priced $990 (7th photo below), trays of chain links for $750 (6th photo below), and beaded styles for $250 & $500. For some reason, the ring section was the most popular area and they were organized by size. I saw lots of signature ovals & sculpted cables that were 40% off.

Men's jewelry, timepieces, and sunglasses sections were serene and relaxed even though they had the biggest bargains. Watches in leather straps & Yurman's cable styles were 60% off original prices while sunglasses were priced a little over $100 (also discounted 60% off). The staff was very professional and well-informed which made today's sale experience more pleasant. I know it's too early to think about Mother's Day, but there were many wonderful jewelry pieces any mom would appreciate.
