The sale space at 260 Sample Sale was relatively calm when I stopped by. Shoes, bags, and clothing were neatly organized with Vince Camuto's multiple footwear lines (VC Signature Vince Camuto, Vince Camuto, and Louise et Cie) occupying the front area.
Prices were pretty easy to navigate. For Vince Camuto, heels and flats were $39 while knee-high boots were $79. For VC Signature, heels and flats were $79, booties were $89, and tall boots were $125. And lastly, a small selection of Louise et Cie were available with heels and flats going for $39, booties going for $59, and tall boots going for $79. As for inventory, I saw exotic skin pumps, sparkly evening sandals, suede boots, and many others in the VC Signature section. The Vince Camuto line, on the other hand, was not as abundant but you could still find a nice variety of footwear like lace peep-toe pumps, tweed sneakers, lace-up booties, and ballerina flats.
Moving onto women's apparel, there were ten racks of clothing situated in the back of the venue. Here, I saw printed skirts, sequined cocktail frocks, leather jackets, silk blouses, long dresses, heavy knits, and outerwear (trench coats, down jackets, and wool coats). To go over a few price points, tops & bottoms were $25, dresses & jumpsuits were $40, and jackets & coats were $79. And FYI, a communal changing room was set up for shoppers in the back.
For Vince Camuto handbags, there were many satchels, oversized totes, leather clutches, and shoulder bags to choose from. Vince Camuto handbags were marked down to $79 while items from the VC Signature were discounted to $125.
Interestingly enough, this month is turning out to be March Shoe Madness. The annual Roger Vivier sample sale took place last week. Following this will be tomorrow's Vince Camuto public opening and then Thursday's Charlotte Olympia sample sale. All I can say is, let the shoedown begin!
