*SAMPLE SALE* Jimmy Choo

It might be a good idea to clean out your closet for all the new shoe goodies you'll be bringing home. The spring sample sale season is picking up steam and that means designer shoe sales are upon us. Heralding the imminent parade of shoe revelry is tomorrow's 1-day Manolo sale. Following on its heels will be Jimmy Choo and their semi-annual bargain spree which starts on May 3rd at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Per usual, the brand does not specify whether next week's event will open to the public, but I doubt the label will change their modus operandi after all these years (hint: it should open to everyone). Regardless, I will keep you posted on any updates. Finally, there is one curious thing to note: the sale is a day longer than usual. Hopefully, this means there is way more inventory to go around. As we all wait and see, take a moment to prepare yourselves for the impending shoe shopping pandemonium by reading the full Mizhattan reports from Jimmy Choo's last two sales: May '15 & Oct. '15.

  1. Hi Miz!! Thank you for sharing this helpful news with us!
Did they open to public the first day? Or not until the second day (even later)?
If they do open to the public, do we need to get a ticket like MB's sale?

    Thank you very much Miz!

    1. Hi love foods,

In previous years, when it was a 2-day sale, the doors opened to the public in the afternoon of the first day. Some shoppers knew this so they would form a separate public line in the morning and wait. However, since it's a 3-day sale this time, the timing might change but the public will still be let in at some point. I will update everyone once I hear it is open to the public. There is no ticket system at Jimmy Choo.

  2. Thanks for the updates, Miz! This will be my first Jimmmy SS. I can't take any days off, so I'm hoping it will be open to the public the first day in the afternoon. Or Maybe *cough* *cough* am I coming down with something??
    Cheers,

    1. Hi DancingInQueens,

Hahaha...I think everyone has their fingers crossed in hopes JC opens to the public on the first day. I will make sure to update you if it does open that afternoon via Instagram and Twitter. Keep a look out and good luck at your first Jimmy Choo sale!

  3. Hi Miz,

Is the sale cash only? Would you advise to wait in the morning on the first day for public sales or 2ND day? L

    1. Both cash and credit cards will be accepted. As for your second question, I've seen lots of people waiting in line on the first day to get right in when it opens to the public. However, since the sale is 3 days instead of 2 this time, I can't say with completely certainty if the event will open to the public on the first day. I plan on updating everyone on Instagram and Twitter, so make sure to follow.

  8. Went yesterday and was quite disappointed with the sale: while my size selection (37-38) was quite decent, the condition of many shoes was far less then mediocre. Most of them were most likely from show rooms or defected returns, many had signs of the wear, some had missing parts, broken zippers, scratches, paint marks, I even spotted flats with the actual dirt on the sole!! And I saw only a few pairs at 200 the 90% started at 250 + tax. Really? For this quality?

The bags were the same, plus most models felt like from last century (except clutches, which were 350 my there were a few really nice pieces).

Wallets were all gone there were only by the end of yesterday and absolutely no restocking as per the associate at the table.

  9. Did they discount any items yet?

  10. No discounts as of 11 am ... and I agree with Anonymous post above.. You had to really dig for a jewel. Price point is comparable to an Off Saks and the quality is probably better at Off Saks. I purchased one pair. Fell in love with a snakeskin pair for $325 great condition until they added a $100 exotic up-charge. I left them. No line this morning.
