*SAMPLE SALE* Lanvin

Longstanding Parisian fashion house Lanvin has scheduled a 3-day sample sale at Century 21 next week. For now, the event is strictly a closed-door affair, but since the brand has found a new sale host (anyone remember this?) and the sale is intended to clean out former designer Alber Elbaz's collections (markdowns are expected to be 80% off), I can't help but wonder if the company will graciously extend their invitation to the public this time around. It will be interesting to see how this one turns out. In any case, I will keep my fellow Mizhattanites in the loop on any developing news, so stay tuned!

UPDATE (6/14): The sale will be open to the public. Yay!

Where: 21 Dey St. (bet. Church St & Broadway)

When: Wednesday, June 15th, 8am~9pm
Thursday, June 16th, 8am~9pm
Friday, June 17th, 8am~6pm

UPDATE: Photos & info from this sale

  1. Keep in mind that Century21 always has TONS of Lanvin in stock starting at 70% off, even lower once the biannual sale rolls around (very very soon).

    2. It is usually towards the end of June. Announced suddenly. Lanvin flats at Century start at about $150, but once sale rolls around, they come down to about $100-$130

    3. Thats if your priority is minimal extra savings over better quality. Century sample sales have newer untouched goods while their retail stuff are stretched out by hangers and felt up by people one too many times. I would take the better quality over $10..$20 any day.

    4. Lanvin at C21 is hit or miss. I have scored perfect snakeskin heels with box and dustbag for less than $100 during the bi-annual sale. I have seen the flats go as low as $60.

  3. Have you gone by today? Is there a strict door policy with the new location? Debating as to whether or not I should stop by today. Thanks!

  6. Super excited about the sale! I seriously hope prices are 80% off like the previous sales. Anyone know if C21 edition allows strollers / babies?

  7. Just came back from Lanvin. Everything is straight 80% off from the retail prices.

For bags, I see bright orange sugar and some small cross-body happy. Plenty of accessories, almost untouched when I left. Well stocked iconic flats in various colors and fabrics when I walked in.

I actually came for the clothes. The Lanvin Alber Elbaz clothes (it is like an end of an era). Not too much for small sizes and the selection is quite limited.

In general, the prices are decent if you are looking for the Lanvin flats (~$100 to $120). For bags, they are a bit picked over when I left. I am a bit disappointed with the clothing for the lack of selection.

    2. Thank you for letting us know! How do you like the sale? Will you be putting up a review as well? I think I might see you at the sale today. Seeing you is like celebrity sighting. Lol.

  8. Just got back from the sale and it was really good. Everything was 80% off and kids shoes and clothes were 90% off!! They had a very good assortment of bags (quite a few happy bags yay) and shoes (although since they weren't arrange by size you had to dig in to find the style and size you want) keep in mind though that the soles looked like they were worn indoors but were otherwise in perfect shape with box/dust bag/and paper inside. Most flats were 100$ with the exception of a few 130$. Plenty of slip on sneakers and high heel sandals But only two styles of knee high boots Staff was super helpful and friendly as well. Thankfully it was almost empty and you could get right in, no waiting line at all (as of 11 am when I left) so the whole experience was a good one and super worth it! Thanks again for the info Miz! Glad I was able to get to this one!!

    2. If you are a small size, the selection is rather disappointing. I went there yesterday. Most stuffs are 90% off, with some at 85% off.

  13. Can anyone post some details on how it was like inside C21 Edition during the last hour today? Anything good left???

    1. I arrived there at around 2:30pm and had to wait about an hour and a half to just get in..selection was not good at all. Flats were all gone and only a few styles of heels and boots were left. RTW racks were dominant but almost none of the smaller sizes left and most of stuff were 40+. All in all, not worth the wait on the long line unless you are in bigger size clothing or interested in accessaries - mainly jewelries.

  14. C21 Edition, Nasty door security. They shoot the door more than two hour prior closing around 4:00 PM instead of 6:00 PM. No Information or respect for the people in line. Rude an unprofessional.
