The last few weeks have been buzzing with big designer shoe sales. It was less than a month ago when the Jimmy Choo sample sale made a totally unexpected return after being absent for nearly 3 years. Then last week, for the first time ever, the Manolo Blahnik sample sale extended their sale one extra day. Now, it's Christian Louboutin's turn in the spotlight.
The schedule for this spring's Christian Louboutin sample sale has been released. It has been confirmed to start next Monday, May 14th and run throughout the week. Before you get too excited, please know that Louboutin sample sales are an invite-only event and notorious for confirming their invitees at the door (Louboutin ladies with clipboards and security roam the line). I write this sale info due to high demand from my readers, so remember that if you don't have an invite to this sale, chances of getting in are EXTREMELY LOW. But don't fret too much as there will be a seasonal boutique sale in June (with nowhere near the chaos and wait time) that I'll make sure to let all of you know.
Where: 306 W. 38th St. (bet. 8th & 9th Ave.)
When: Monday, May 14th, 8:30am~3pm
Tuesday, May 15th, 8:30am~6pm
Wednesday, May 16th, 8:30am~6pm
Friday, May 18th, 8:30am~6pm

Miz,
ReplyDeleteI can always count on you to be the first to publish breaking news on these sales. Just sad that I can't attend. Perhaps I can be your +1?
Hi, how do i get on invite list? thanks
ReplyDeleteMiz...how does one get an invitation to this sale? I'll be happy just to attend the sale, as I won't be qualify as media. :)
ReplyDeleteIs it possible at all to obtain an invite? I absolutely hate missing out on these kinds of things!!
ReplyDeleteTo be invited, you would either need to work in the fashion industry, fashion publishing industry, or have a strong relationship with an SA.
ReplyDeleteMay I please get invited to this event? I want a pair as a graduation gift to myself.
ReplyDeleteMiz - just wondering if you got a confirmation email when you RSVP'ed? I RSVPed today but didn't get any reply, wondering if I should follow up.
ReplyDeleteYou don't get a confirmation email right away - and only if you asked for one in your RSVP. You can follow up if you feel uncomfortable but I suggest waiting until Monday.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm just paranoid I'll show up, stand in line for hours and not be on the list at the end o__0. Appreciate the response.
ReplyDeleteMIZ-how do i go about getting invited.
ReplyDeletePlease let me know!!
thank you
Where do your RSVP ???
ReplyDeleteMiz, I work in the fashion industry for another luxury designer. I heard that they will open the sale to the public on Saturday. Can you confirm that?
ReplyDeleteI have not heard such a thing. Will have to look into it!
ReplyDeleteYes, they do reply. They did to me. You have to know someone at CL to get an invite or be regular customer. The sale is going on now. The line is ridiculous and people have been stading on it since 5am. Doors open at 9.
ReplyDeleteHey Mizhattan, love your blog! i got an invite for thursday-friday. Do you think there's going to be a big line? and if so, when do you think the best time to go without having to wait in line for hours, thanx!!
ReplyDeleteThe line should not be as big as today, but you should still expect a moderate wait time. I would either get there before opening so you'll be in with the first group or wait it out till later in the afternoon. Happy shopping!!
ReplyDeleteLadies, did anybody go to CL sale? Please share... Is it worth of going there? I am going there on Thursday hopefully there will be something left ;)
ReplyDeleteCan the general public attend the sale on Thursday & Friday without an invite? Thanks
ReplyDeleteLast time it was not worth it unless you size 5 or 11.
ReplyDeleteThere is a chance the sale will open to the public on Friday. I will keep you posted.
ReplyDeletereally sale will open to the public on friday? a pair of how much money?
DeleteI went to the sale yesterday afternoon. There was no line. There was lots of stuff in larger sizes. I heard that size 37-39 is running low but because that is not my size I didn't really check. I did see a fair amount in that size though. There is a 8 pair maximum & most of the shoes fall in the 350 price range. Exotics & Strass were the most expensive at between 450-750.
ReplyDeleteIf you have an invite its totally worth going. If you don't have an invite don't bother. You wont get in.
Hi Miz,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this information. Have you heard from them if the sale will be open to the public tomorrow?
Thank you!
I am actually going tomorrow, should i go in the morning or should i go in the afternoon and see if i get in? help? :)
ReplyDeleteis the sale public today?
ReplyDeleteWas not public as of 1PM today
ReplyDeleteI cant get there until 4:15 - do you think they will let me if I'm on the list?
ReplyDeleteIf you are on the list, 4:15 should be fine. But you are cutting it close.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I've been told sizes are very limited.
Thanks!! I'm a 35 so that's why I took my chances going late ;)
ReplyDeleteAs of 2:20 pm, it's not public. :(
ReplyDeleteMy deepest & sincerest thanks to all my fellow Mizhattanites who have commented and kept everyone updated on the line as well as the sale. I really appreciate all your help in maintaining and growing this wonderful shopping community!
ReplyDeleteHi Miz. the sample sale when will come for this year?
ReplyDeleteIt's actually too early to know. I will write an article once I find out.
