She's the queen of flirty party frocks. Stacey Bendet's fashion label, Alice + Olivia, began their summer sample sale early this rainy morning. The sale is an attraction for shoppers who are looking for that perfect summer party look. So, are you ready to frock on?

As you may already know, Alice + Olivia is hosting their sample sale at two different venues this week. This is a first for the brand. I chose to attend the 260 Sample Sale location since I was familiar with the space. Press & VIPs were allowed in an hour before the public opening and I entered the sale right when the doors opened. Inside, my first priority was to check the price list. I found that prices on apparel remained mostly status quo when compared to the last sale in December. Shoes, on the other hand, were cheaper by $20 to $100(!).

The clothing section was organized by size--XS to XXL. Racks of dresses, tops, skirts, jackets, and pants filled Alice + Olivia's midtown sample sale showroom. The inventory was definitely overflowing and I spotted many different dress styles in lace, peplum, sequin, and bold print. There were lots of party frocks, trench coats, evening jackets, flirty skirts, summer shorts, and maxi skirts. My favorites? This strapless polka-dot peplum top, black cap sleeve dress, and red polka-dot bow tie blouse. Towards the back of the space, shoppers will find an area dedicated to samples. I strongly suggest to my readers that they start their shopping in this section first. As for prices, tops were $79, dresses were $129, skirts and pants were $99, and embellished/party/leather dresses $199. The full list is at the end of this article.

Now, onto shoes. As I mentioned earlier, Alice + Olivia's shoes were priced slightly lower than the last sale. Tall boots were $99 (down from $199 at the last sale), ankle boots were also $99 (down from $179), heels were $79, and flats were $49. The selection was slightly better and I spotted various styles like patent pumps, leopard print flats, polka dot scandals, and glittery platforms.

Regarding further markdowns, prices will likely drop as the sale progresses. Make sure to read the comment section below or follow my tweets for any updates.
