Following the heels of Manolo, Christian Louboutin's NYC sample sale is set to make its spring return. Proven time and time again to be one of the hottest shopping attractions in town, I'm happy to share the info I just received from the company. According to my invite, Louboutin's Friends & Family sample sale is scheduled for next week but, unlike previous years, the brand has chosen a different venue to host the sale. Therefore, please note that the event will be at 307 W. 38th St. Now, that being said, I'm sure you all know how strict their door policy is. It's a "no invite, no shoes for you" kind of affair. But since there are many diehard Loubie lovers out there who are willing to try anything, maybe this could help. Also, just for the record, I've heard quite a many stories from my fellow Mizhattanites (here & here) who were able to get in without an invite, so there is some glimmer of hope.
Where: 307 W. 38th St., Store Nº.3 (at 8th Ave.)
When: Tuesday, May 13th through Friday, May 16th.

ReplyDeleteI got in this afternoon without an invitation. Selection has dwindled from photos posted from the first day. There are still shoes available in common sizes, but there isn't much variety in styles. I have larger feet, so I was able to find a couple of styles I liked. The basic shoes that everyone said were available seem to be gone now; I checked sizes 37-41 and only saw one pair of nude leather pumps.

DeleteI scoped out the location on Wednesday and overheard the security guard tell someone they may let the public in Thursday afternoon. I went back Thursday around 2:30 and stood in a short line for about 45 minutes. They let 10 of us in and gave us 30 minutes to shop! I wish I could post the photos here too, Alexandra. I got the Sexy Strass in Meridian blue and the Bianca Watersnake in Rouge Lipstick. :) Thanks, Mizhattan for spreading the word about this sale!

ReplyDeleteJust arrived to a closed storefront with a gate..a young lady here says she heard folks say they were leaving for lunch? She says they said they'd be back but that it is only open for employees. Anyone ever hear of such a thing?
ReplyDeleteI tried earlier this morning as well and the Hispanic guard out front just blatantly lied and said the sale ended on Thursday, May 16th.
