It's that time of year, folks. The autumn season Manolo Blahnik sample sale is here and it's happening TODAY at 12pm. With stilettos starting at $100, this sale is a shoeaholic's fantasy come true. At this year's May sample sale (photos: here & here), mounds of plastic-bagged shoes not only covered the 15 or so tables but also littered the hotel carpet floor. Shoppers lucky enough to attend found a diverse range of pumps, sandals, exotics, and boots. As always, dropping by an ATM is a must as this is a cash-only event. Happy Shopping!
Where: Warwick Hotel, 65 W 54th St. (near 6th Ave.), 2nd Floor
When: Wednesday, October 29th, 12pm

MAS said 11? Do you need a ticket? What are the hours?
ReplyDeleteThey do give out tickets however, as of 12pm, there is no wait and you can go straight in.
DeleteMiz, do you know if it's cash-only again?
ReplyDeleteYes, cash only as always.
DeleteCash only. Decimated in 38-39. Usual prices.
ReplyDeletewhat does that mean? are the only sizes available 38-39? What are the hours? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteDecimated means that the stock in those sizes is severely depleted.
DeleteTons of 37s left. I think the sale ends at 4pm
ReplyDeletehow's the line now? how are the quality of the shoes?
ReplyDeleteNo line as of noon. Most of the merchandise is new.
DeleteIs this private or open to public?
ReplyDeleteThe sale is open to the public.
DeleteCheck out Mizhattan Twitter account for photos of the shoes and price list.
ReplyDeleteWhat time does it end
ReplyDeleteThe sale ends around 4pm or whenever the shoes sell out.
DeleteAny size 12s?
ReplyDeleteYes, they had a table worth of size 42.
Deleteany Hangisi Satin Pump (carrie bradshaw wedding shoe?) in size 37 or 37.5?
ReplyDeleteany color
No, I didn't see them.
DeleteFound a pair of black BB's for $100! Most painless sale ever.
ReplyDeleteThe girl in line in front of me impressively spent $1600. She had maybe 10-12 pairs of shoes.
were there alot of 37 or 37.5 shoes left?
ReplyDeleteany shoes smaller than 36?
ReplyDeletedon't bother if you are 38.5-40. Everything else is good. If you are a smaller size or larger. Not really worth the trek over IMO .
ReplyDeleteHi Miz!! UGHHHHH!! I wish I checked this site earlier. I certainly would have gone up the block during lunch :( :( Oh well
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe I missed this!! I am literally work two blocks away. I, like lots of us were the "get up before the sun rises to stand in line but always came out with a pair in hand " folk. Sooooo bummed! Especially after I saw the pics on your twitter page Miz. I would have made out like a bandit! Oh well, my hard earned money gets to stay in my account another day. Ughhhh!!lol
ReplyDeleteSorry you couldn't make it. Just remember to think on the bright side. You get to spend it at one of the many other sample sales that are going to pop up in November and December!
Delete:( That's what I am telling myself Miz (as I think of a pair that I could have worn this weekend if I checked your page earlier and headed down at lunch time) Le siiiigh.. There is always J.Crew which I hope is announced soon! :)
DeleteYes, I'll try to make it up to you with an early J.Crew announcement if/when they set a date.
DeleteAww... That's why you are the BEST Miz!
DeleteIt was a great sale! Thanks for the heads up. No line and not too crowded. Score BBs and shoes for a cocktail event. I noticed a lot of shoes from the boutique sale.
ReplyDeleteHope you have fun at your party and receive TONS of compliments on your new shoes!
Deleteany more stock left?
ReplyDeleteThere was no line...I got two amazing pairs...and the staff were incredibly helpful. Fantastic sale. Thanks Miz!!!
ReplyDeleteNice! Thank you for reading!
DeleteThank you Miz on the tip! I was actually able to make it at a decent time because I checked your post at the perfect time! Sure, the best of the best we're snatched up but there were definitely some treasures. It was my first being able to make it. And it was a bonus that there wasn't a line. All in all it was a great sale!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to help!
DeleteI am very upset this sale was not announced at least a day early. I was waiting for it since May. Last 2 sales were very civilized, yes there was a long line, but that's normal for a sale like that. Everyone behaved very friendly in line. Did organizers asked bloggers to keep it a secret?
ReplyDeleteThe sale was announced a week ago when the invitations were sent out. This has always theoretically been a "private sale" that eventually opens to the public. Sometimes it leaks and sometimes it doesn't but the source of the leak is not MB. They were really happy yesterday that it didn't leak. They know people will ultimately find out about but but when it doesn't leak, they get to still get rid of the shoes and avoid the frenzy.
DeleteThanks so much miz! I usually stay away from this sale due to the lines, wait and the sheer number of people who show up. With the late notice - I went around 1 and there was a 10 min wait at most in a room filled with 10 ppl at most. The stock was plentiful and lots of current seasons out. I picked up a few pairs I've been lusting after but just could not justify the $700 - $900 price tag till today for $100 - $150!
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much!!!
Happy you and your wallet had a great time!
DeleteI'm so glad that I read your tweet in the morning. Headed during lunch time, the wait was short 15-20min and being size 7 there was still plenty to choose from. The staff was frequently restocking the tables (at least the 37s) and while it was a bit messy inside I'm glad it wasn't as insane like the last few years. Sure beats having to wake up at 5am.
ReplyDeleteI ended up buying two pairs of gorgeous heels. Thanks Miz!
Yes, I always ask readers to check my tweets as I post important nuggets of info that I don't mention on Mizhattan. Good for you! Enjoy your shoes!!
Deletewas there an announcement, I did not see one?
ReplyDeleteI feel lucky I checked your news all the time. I went there yesterday morning. There's no line. I just went in and took out 14 pairs of shoes for my friends and family. Thanks.
