The master behind classy stilettos, Manolo Blahnik, is hosting their New York City sample sale today. This will be one of two sample sales the brand will be holding this fall. Whichever sale you decide to attend, you and your shoe closet are in for a real bargain treat!
The label's legendary NYC sample sale is back at the Warwick Hotel today! Manolo manias who attended the brand's last sample sale found basic styles like BBs discounted as low as $100 and sizes ranging from 35 to 42. You can see the complete price list and photos from that sale by reading the full Mizhattan report from May.
If you miss out on today's 1-day New York City sale, there is another Manolo sample sale to look forward to. The event will be hosted by George Malkemus and Anthony Yurgaitis (the top two execs at the company) at the University of Connecticut campus on Saturday, November 14th (big thanks to Grace at UConn). Apparently, the business duo also own a dairy farm in Connecticut and have been hosting sales there to raise funds for agricultural scholarships. This upcoming November sale in CT is also for a good cause and that is to provide financial aid for UConn animal science students. Shoe prices will range from $150 to $450.

HA!! Now this is what I call a notification! Thank goodness I receive your tweets Just told my folks I will be taking an early lunch!
ReplyDeleteThank you Miz, saw that at @MadisonAveSpy tweet before yours.
ReplyDeleteUgh! Can you be more transparent?
DeleteHahahaha... Like madisonavespy does any real work. Besides stealing info from other blogs and the purse forum.
Deletewoohoo! summer like day and it's my day off too!
ReplyDeleteThank you mizhattan because I love manolo. This is my first manolo sale so what are prices like today??? Is there a line???
ReplyDeletePrices are up. Basic shoes now priced at $125. Full price list: CLICK HERE
DeleteThx Miz
ReplyDeleteWhat about sizes? Tia Miz xoxo
ReplyDeleteSALE UPDATE: As usual, sizes 35~42 are available at the sample sale. Plenty of 37~38 still on the tables. 35~36 and 39~40 are picked over. However there are some shoes still inside plastic bins that haven't been put out yet. There is no wait to get inside the sale. Basic shoes are now $125 and that means all shoes are taxed.
ReplyDeleteThanks Miz for always providing the important information we need to know. Can't imagine I would survive a ss without you.
DeleteMiz do you think this sale has better than CT will. Not sure I will make it back to the city in time.
ReplyDeleteThat's a toughie. Prices for basic shoes are $25 lower than what they will be at CT sale.
DeleteIf you can't make it back to the city in time just settle for ct because a sample sale is a sample sale. For sure it will have better prices than paying full retail. Or you can wait until boutique sale.
DeleteThank you thank you thank you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHere's a treasure that I spotted amongst the mounds of shoes: HANGISI
ReplyDeleteSALE UPDATE: As of 12:00pm, there is still no wait to get inside. That should change very soon with the lunch crowd so get a move on it if you haven't already!
ReplyDeleteis the sale open to the public?
DeleteHi Unknown,
DeleteYes, it is open to the public.
How bad are the lines?
ReplyDeleteThere are no 7.5 no 8 and no 8.5 left. Manolo needs to limit how many shoes ppl can buy. It is unfair that ppl come in and buy 10000 pairs of shoes to re-sell. Seriously not cool
ReplyDeleteNuts! Can't leave work right now. Can anyone tell me if its worth going around 4? Thx
ReplyDeleteIf everything is not sold by that time, it may be SLIM pickens!! Although I work three blocks away and got there at 11:45, I should have left as soon as I saw the notification. The shoes that some women had in their hands by the time I arrived, made me sad. Just glad I was able to take an early lunch.
DeleteI went at 11:45 and had to really, really look but I found two pairs!! Thanks again Miz! Back in the office!
ReplyDeleteFriend there now and says that they are telling her a 20 minute wait.
ReplyDeleteany line update?
ReplyDeleteany size updates?
ReplyDeleteThere is a line. About a 40 minute wait. Handing out numbers. I'm in group number 33. They just called 24.
ReplyDeleteHi Sunny,
DeleteThank you so much for the update!
You're welcome. Love your blog.
Deleteopen till?
ReplyDelete5pm or until everything sells out.
DeleteMiz -- was the hangisi a rare find? or did you spot alot at the sale?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, it was a rare find.
Deletealmost no embellished shoes left when I left around 1pm
ReplyDeletesome cute things in 37, I'm 37.5/38 but there's almost nothing in my size
some 37s run large so I managed to get in and out within an hr with 2 pairs
any size 34.5 and 35 left? what number are they up to now?
ReplyDeleteI left around 1:20 and there were very few, if any, sizes below 36.
Deleteany classic black or nude BBs in 37, 37.5, 38?
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the craziness over this brand. UGLY shoes. There are so many other designers and brands out there that are gorgeous works of art. Do you like it because a celebrity wore them on a TV show?!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you there.
Deleteis the sale still on?
ReplyDeleteIt ended before you posted your comment.
DeleteTo all of you wondering about the CT sale, its not really worth it. I've been the past two times (2013 and this past august) and they were the same shoes each time. 2013 they were cheaper - prices starting at 100-250 and this past August the same shoes with prices starting at 150 going all the way up to 400. You have to get there earlyish, around 6:30am. Personally the NYC sale is better, but the CT sale benefits the Arethusa scholarship for UCONN. They raised a good bit of money this past time.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your insight! Much appreciated!!
DeleteThank you Anonymous. I really thought of going to this one as well!
Deleteharlem77 i would go if you're looking for something ornate or unique, not for neutrals.
Delete^^ Also if you're an 8, i wouldn't go - they only had one table last time.
ReplyDeletehi Anon. -- -did they have basics at the UCONN sale? like black and neutrals, or just solid colors?
DeleteThey had a few of them but only in smaller sizes (5-6.5) but they were satin bb's
DeleteThis sale was disappointment. First price climbed 36% up. Selection was not interesting at all. Basic old models.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, info for those who worry about re-sale. Few years ago I bought here one pair of basic pumps $100, realized that it is tide and put it on ebay. To buy it I spent 4 hours in line outside the hotel. Guess what: I never was lucky to sell this unworn new Manolo pumps size 37. So, do not think it is so easy.
Elena
thank you miz
ReplyDeleteHey Miz.. Sooooo, I am thinking the next sale should happen in Maylol.. My notifications are turned on and a pair of flats are under my desk just in case I need to run out really fast. :)
ReplyDeleteHi harlem77,
DeleteI believe your intuition is correct! However, I haven't heard anything as of yet. Once I receive word, I will post asap.
I know! Can't wait :)
